I started out my day by taking the bus to the city. While there, I checked the theater for new emotions, but they didn’t have any I wanted.
I also went in GracieGrace; they had the sweets furniture on display.
Back in Forest, I saw that Del was still sick.
Tortimer was out in front of town hall, preparing for the fireworks festival tonight.
Later on, at 8:10, I opened up my gate. Yann and Megan came to visit. We saw a helmet and a beak in the Able Sisters.
Yann bought the helmet, so we joked that she was Bushido’s daughter. Anyway, we went outside and used some fireworks we got from Tortimer. Megan said it was time to wax Tortimer’s shell, just like we did two years ago. She blew the bubbles and I provided the hot gas. From the Roman candle, I mean.
Megan continued blowing bubbles even as I was talking to Kid Cat.
At one point, the three of us and Kid Cat were all clapping for the fireworks.
We gathered on the bridge for a good look at the fireworks.
We were finding lots of rare bugs. It seemed like the 9 o’clock hour was better than our usual times (10:00 and later). We were catching rare bugs left and right and we talked as we hunted.
And we were making fun out of our names. We always do stuff like this, haha.
We also had an apple bake. This was also something Megan and I did two years ago.
Before long, we had a party going. Everyone was there, and it was starting to get a little crowded.
I made about 170,000 bells from catching bugs tonight. Around 10:45, I closed my gate for the night. Before I ended my game, I went into Del’s house to give him the medicine I bought for him earlier.
At one point, Yann got a blue kotatsu (I don’t even remember where she got it…the recycle bin perhaps) and was asking what it looked like. So I put it in my house so she could see it.
After a bit, we spontaneously started doing something that made no sense at all, but was inexplicably hilarious. Megan would turn the light off and we started applauding (the “delight” emotion). Then she would turn it on and we all used shock/disbelief. We went back and forth doing that for a while and got a good laugh out of it. It was at that moment that I realized we were all completely insane. 😀
We later tried to visit Del (Yann’s husband), but he was sick and wouldn’t let us in.
We spent a good while catching rare fish and summer bugs, including some nice golden stags.
At one point, Megan’s batteries died. She made the mistake of announcing that fact, so I took advantage of the situation and pitfall’d her.
While catching bugs and fish, my pockets would often fill up and I would have to temporarily drop an item until I got back to Nook’s to sell my catches. On multiple occasions, Megan has seen me drop the same particular item, an “A shirt.” So of course, she had to make fun of me for it.
By 1:00, we headed to Nook’s before he closed up shop for the night. I earned 156,850 bells just on bugs and fish caught tonight.
We again did the Nook door glitch. Later, we made our way to the Forest Museum, where Megan was checking out the exhibits.
We watched the bugs fight and we just started talking; we actually hung out in there for a very long time. I was getting tired (and crazy) and for a while I was kind of repeating everything Yann said, but making it slightly different.
And this was the void left behind where her house was.
I filled in all that dirt with flowers so that the grass will regrow quicker. Not much else happened today. I watered my flowers and found two new black roses. I haven’t been getting many new hybrids lately, so it was nice to finally get a couple.
