Auction House

Today, Pelly posted on the bulletin board to say that it’s Jambette’s birthday. Does she expect us to send Jambette happy birthday greetings? That’s not going to happen.

~Happy Birthday~ Today is Jambette's birthday! Best wishes for a happy and healthy year to come, Jambette! -From PellyAfter making my rounds, I then went to the city and saw Savannah there.

Savannah: Looks like it's time for the fall sales, y'all. And for no apparent reason, I decided to wander into the auction house. I hardly ever go in there. But since they were accepting items for display, I decided to put an anchor up for auction.

Lloid: Does sir truly wish to display his fabulous anchor?I started the bidding at only 500 bells, so if anyone on my roster wants it, feel free to bid next weekend.

My anchor up for sale at the auction house.I then returned back to Forest and watered my flowers. Not much was going on today. But when talking to Nook, I noticed the “V” part of my helmet made Tom Nook look like he had a blond mustache.  Or, maybe a beak. You decide.

Tom Nook, seemingly with a yellow mustache. It was actually part of my helmet.

Return of the Roman Candles

After watering my flowers, I opened my gate at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest. Yann came over to visit. We went in my house; I hid behind the skeleton.

Jeff, standing behind a skeleton: You can't find me.Outside later, I used a Roman candle on Sydney while Yann was talking to her. I really wanted to burn Jambette, but she was hiding indoors.

Me burning Sydney with a Roman candle as she talks to Yann.Yann and I did some fishing for a while. There weren’t many good fish, other than the occasional red snapper. We were also talking about food, and Yann mentioned that she has eaten frog before. That sounded gross to me, but we agreed that she could eat Jambette and I’d have no problem with that.

We went into Del’s house and noticed he had bowling pins and a TV with a VCR. The interesting thing to me was that when you turn the TV off, the tape ejects from the VCR. I didn’t know it did that.

Yann: What is this tape? Jeff: Must be TV with a VCR.Since my basement is cluttered with Roman candles leftover from the fireworks festival, I decided to use some of them up.

Jeff, standing on a cliff: Fire in the sky!I gave Yann some as well, and we played around with them.

Yann stands on a cliff and fires off a Roman candle above my head.I see a flame from Yann (standing on the cliff) even though she is off-screen.Yann also commented on my message board about my new brick path pattern.

Your orange brick paths are cheesylicious. The bleu cheese ones are also the best. I'll remember to bring crackers when I come over next time! -YannAround 12:15, I ended the party for the night.

Saharah’s Return

While in the city today, I saw Tom. He is one of my favorite villagers in my GameCube town, but he has yet to move into my City Folk town. Maybe someday.

Tom: There are a lot of reasons to come to the city, but my favorite is the moment the lights turn on at night. When I went into Nook’s, I saw he had a skeleton for sale. This is certainly the right time of year for a skeleton, so I bought it for my house.

Tom Nook: That's today's special, hm? Yes, a skeleton!I also ran into Saharah in Forest today. She was looking for old wallpaper.

Saharah: Others give you old wallpaper, and you give to me!As I started asking my villagers for old wallpaper, I finished up placing my new path down. I copied the pattern to my spots where I had the horizontal and vertical paths, so those changed automatically. So corners and intersections were the only ones I had to change manually. One good thing about this brick path is that only one pattern is needed. My previous path needed 11 patterns.

Standing by a bridge, admiring the orange and brown brick path.Sydney ended up being the only animal who had old wallpaper for me. But fortunately, I had two in storage from last time, so I had the three required for a rare wallpaper. I took them to Saharah and she gave me an office wall.

Saharah: Here...an office wall. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing. The office wall looks okay, but it certainly wasn’t worth all that effort tracking all my animals down. Oh well.
