Stinging Sunday

It’s that time of year when snow starts falling, so I was hoping I would see some today. No such luck. But it should be any day now…

I took the bus to the city to check this week’s new emotions. Nothing for me this time, thanks.

Clerk: What show would you like to see today? The flea market was going on today. I went in Bob’s house, but he didn’t have anything I wanted.

Bob: I'm happy you came to take a look, gobble! And if you buy something, I'll be even happier!I watered my flowers and found one new black rose. Then I shook a few trees. I didn’t find anything good, but the bees sure found me!

I got stung by a bee! Ow! Ow ow ow!

Sally Moves In

I started up the game and realized I still had a knife and fork from yesterday’s harvest festival. Oops. I put it into storage, where I’ll be sure to forget all about it by next year. 😛

I went around watering my flowers (no new black roses today) and I saw Del. He was itchy, so I caught the flea that was biting him.

Del: I knew something was making me itchy! Bob said I was just paranoid, but this is proof!Walking along, I found something I did not want to see. Just as I had replaced the path where Iggly’s house was, another house plopped down right onto that same spot, messing up my path yet again. Ugh.

A new house appears, on my path.It belonged to my new neighbor, Sally the squirrel.

Sally: Now, how should I arrange my room...nutmeg.I’m actually surprised that a new neighbor moved in this soon. Iggly just moved out Wednesday. It usually seems to take close to a week for someone to move in. Unless the process is quicker now that WiiConnnect24 isn’t active? Or maybe it’s just a coincidence. I don’t know.

I’m not opening my gate tonight since I opened last night instead. But I stopped to check the items at the lost-and-found. I found a flame shirt in there, and I then put it on.

Wearing a flame shirt I found at the lost-and-found at the gate.

Harvest Festival

I started up the game and found Tortimer outside town hall. Today is the harvest festival, better known as Thanksgiving in the U.S.

Tortimer: It's the most wonderful day of the year, Jeff! I'm talking about the Harvest Festival, sprout! The festival didn’t start until 3:00, so I watered my flowers and then turned the game off until later. At 6:00, I opened my gate. Tortimer was now handing out knives and forks.

Tortimer: Today we feast like kings! Today we gorge like pigs! Today we stuff ourselves like teddy bears!Megan and I hunted for Franklin, collecting the harvest furniture he gives out. At one point, Megan appeared with a beak on. I was not expecting that.

Megan, wearing a beak, speaks with Franklin. Jeff says "TWO TURKEYS!"Franklin had some good hiding places at times, but he also had a few of these:

Franklin the turkey tries to hide behind a sign post. There were a whole lot of beaks walking around Forest: Avery, Amelia, Egbert, Megan, and Franklin. At one point, Egbert seemed to just be standing there watching Franklin. I think he was hungry.

Egbert watching Franklin as he hides. At one point, while Megan was away, she mysteriously fell into a pitfall! 😉

Jeff laughs as Megan struggles to get out of a pitfall.Megan completed her set of harvest furniture and then a little later, she left for the night. I kept my gate open until 9:00 and then closed up shop. I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!
