In Forest, Avery was talking about people who tell rumors. His example of a rumor caught my attention though: “Someone filled my house with coleslaw.”
Later on, I opened my Bananas gate to visitors for the first time. Yann, Ashlyn, and Taylor came over. They started giving me some fruit, and Ashlyn gave me a couple furniture items for my house. But very quickly, we all got disconnected. I reopened the gate; Yann, Taylor, and Jake came in this time. I let everyone explore my town and meet the animals.
Taylor gave me an axe to use to cut down trees (which I was replacing with foreign fruit trees). But I didn’t get very far…
After putting the fireplace and drum from Ashlyn in my house, I invited everyone over to see.
After a while, the four of us went to watch K.K. perform some songs at The Roost.
When exiting the museum, I left a pitfall behind. Taylor found it.
Taylor eventually left, and then Megan came over to visit. We did the Nook door glitch at 1:00.
Megan was away at one point, and she used the thinking pose to keep us from pushing her anywhere. But that wasn’t enough to stop me from pitfalling her.
We then hung out in the gate for a while.
We were acting like we were leaving out the gate. But then we disconnected. When I reopened, Yann and Megan returned, but Jake didn’t. We ended up taking a picture on my ramp.
And we tried to take pictures of us all eating apples, but it’s very difficult to get the timing right. Still, it resulted in some interesting pictures.
Thanks to you all who visited (or tried to visit but couldn’t get in) and thank you all for the fruit/gifts. And of course, thank you for reading this blog. You guys are great.
And while walking around town, I couldn’t help but notice that the Christmas lights on trees are still up.
I watered my flowers and found one new black rose. I was almost done playing, when Avery told me to look up at the sky later on tonight. So I left the game on for a couple hours, and sure enough, the northern lights appeared after 11:00 p.m.
Just a reminder that I’ll be opening my Bananas gate Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. EST (7pm PST). If anyone wants to bring any fruit (anything except apples), I’ll appreciate it.
That included New Year’s greetings from Bob, Avery, Del, Anabelle, Egbert, Rowan, and Mom. Mom included 1,000 bells with her letter. The other letter was the monthly bank statement from the Bank of Nintendo. I earned 86,200 bells in interest this month.
When I checked the bulletin board, it mentioned today being Bob’s birthday. I actually already knew it was his birthday…I think that’s one of only two animals’ birthdays that I actually know off-hand. The other is Chief (December 19), because I know someone who shares that same birthday.
Tortimer was outside town hall, wishing everyone a happy new year.
He was giving out this year’s new year shirt.
I walked down my paths, watering my flowers…and then I saw it. Another house blocking my path. In the same exact spot Sally just moved out of, and Iggly before that. It was Peggy’s!
I never liked Peggy before, but when her house is here, I like her even less. I went to talk to her, but hopefully this will be the only time until she’s on the way out.
Since I haven’t posted a list of my villagers lately, this might be a good time to list them all and the years they moved in.
