The northern lights were on display yet again tonight. They’re more common in winter than I remember.
I found Pascal standing on my southern bridge.
He often has something clever to say or he gives some wise advice. However, this was not one of those times.
I gave him a scallop and he handed me a ship cannon in return.
I then took the bus to the city to check out Crazy Redd’s new inventory for the week. He had a kiddie clock for sale, which surprisingly was an item I needed for my catalog. So I bought it.
When I returned to town, Ribbot noticed my clock and wanted to trade a beige box for it. Wow, I always wanted a box! And it’s beige too!
I went in to visit Elmer, and he was reminiscing about when he lived in Brian’s town Village.
I also checked up on Rowan. He is all packed up and ready to move out, unfortunately.
Since Bob moved out, Rowan has been the animal that’s been in town longest (he moved into Forest in 2011). But now that he’s leaving, Avery takes over that spot. Avery moved into town in 2012. Everyone else in my town moved in during 2013! It’s kind of sad that my town will be full of relatively new villagers. However, three of my villagers are repeat villagers: Avery, Miranda, and Elmer have all previously moved out and later moved back in.
My house flag was my “JVGS” logo, but it was my old, lowercase one that I no longer use. And it had been on my house for way too long, so I decided to change my flag. I know how it looks, but I’m not an alien or anything. Or at least you can’t prove it.
Melba the koala casually informed me that she was currently carrying around a picnic table. I had two thoughts: 1: How come I don’t see it? And 2: You must be stronger than you look.
Tonight, the northern lights were shining above town. Is it just me, or are the northern lights prettier in City Folk than they are in New Leaf? (See
When I went to visit Lily the frog, she seemed depressed. She was talking about the possibility of her and I going our separate ways. The typical “moving out” conversation didn’t come up, nor was there any mention of her being sick. So this conversation was a bit odd…and sad. I hope she doesn’t croak.
Rowan didn’t mention his potential move to me tonight, so I’m assuming he’s still planning on moving out sometime soon. But I still waved to him from across the river to say hello.
I went around town to water my flowers. When I saw Miranda, she asked me for a new catchphrase. So I told her to say “duck ugly.”
And Octavian was telling me how he sells fossils and other things for money. He said he’ll dig himself out of debt by selling various objects he finds. And that right there is Animal Crossing in a nutshell.
