I didn’t play yesterday, but today I received my Mother’s Day letter from Mom. She also attached a pink carnation seed to the letter.
Friga invited me to play a game of hide and seek, and I said yes. I had 10 minutes to find her, Bunnie, and Octavian.
After a bit of looking, I found Octavian and Bunnie, both hiding behind trees.
With about two minutes to go, I found Friga hiding behind the museum.
So I won the game and Friga rewarded me with a squat dingloid. Octavian then pinged me, and asked for a new greeting.
And I had a new villager in town. But it was a returning villager who has lived in Forest before: Kiki the black cat! Even though she looks a bit odd and pig-like, I grew to like her after a while. So I’m glad to have her back in town. This particular Kiki moved from Tropical, which is Yann’s town.

Not only did I make the delivery, but I also caught the flea that was bugging him.
Saharah was in town, looking for old wallpaper. I asked all nine of my villagers for some, but only Friga and Lily had some to give me. Fortunately, I had one in storage too. So I took the three of them back to Saharah, and she gave me some ringside seating.
It’s not one that I needed, unfortunately. Still, I went in my house to take a look at it. Resetti looked like he’s ready to fight his next challenger.
I’ve been having a lot of black roses wilt already, and I’ve been watering them to turn them into gold roses. The process seems to be going quickly, and that’s a good thing. I’ve even grown two extra black roses that I’ll be able to use as spares.
And today, I was surprised to get a goodbye letter from Goose! He was one of my favorite villagers, and I had no idea he was considering moving out! Ugh!
I saw Ribbot tonight, and he told me he’d go insane for a bone shirt. Uh, what?
Over by Able Sisters, I ran into Lily. She gave me a new nickname, Mr. J. I’ve actually grown to like this nickname, as some of my villagers have used it in New Leaf too. It reminds me of Harley Quinn in Batman, who calls the Joker Mr. J.
