Static’s Missing Key

Static lost his key tonight, and not just any key…his favorite key. The key to his house. He asked me to help find it.

Static: I think I dropped my house key somewhere. That was my favorite key... It opened my house. It’s Saturday night, so I made sure to head up to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s musical performance. He played Forest Life for me, which is a song I’ve always enjoyed.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Forest Life.I saw the shadow of a small fish in the river, so I got my fishing rod out and caught it…it was the key! Wow, first try!

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?I returned the key to Static, and he was quite relieved. He revealed that he had a backup plan, however: He was going to trick Bud into switching houses!

Static: Good timing! I was just about to trick Bud into trading houses with me! (Still might...)I saw Bud over by town hall, and he had a small problem of his own: Fleas. I got my net out and caught one of the little buggers. Of course, Bunnie was standing right there, snooping in Bud’s business.

Bud: I had those fleas so long, I was about to start asking them to spar me at the dojo, maaan!

New Kitt on the Block

I had a letter in the mailbox from Dad; it arrived Sunday for Father’s Day. He sent me a red carnation bag.

It was raining in town today, and Friga was enjoying it so much that she wanted to splash around in the puddles. Wouldn’t it be cool if animals actually did that?

Friga: Normally, I think rain is a real downer. But today all I want to do is splash around, so chill!Static, on the other hand, was hating the wetness. He’s such a grump.

Static: Oh, give me a break... Grrr. Look at this weather! Nothing puts me in a bad mood like a rainstorm!I found a new house in the western part of town, and it belonged to Kitt the kangaroo (and her child). Kitt was one of my villagers in my GameCube town many years ago. It’s good to see her again! Her baby hasn’t grown an inch in all that time, though!

Kitt: I just moved into town, and I really haven't had time to get settled yet. My name is Kitt.Bunnie asked me to make a delivery to Static, and I obliged. When I returned to Bunnie, she gave me 552 bells. That amount shows up so often that it’s not even all that interesting any more.

Bunnie: Check it out! It's 552 bells! Yep! All yours, toasty!

Cousteau’s Unitard

When I started up the game tonight, I got Lily’s goodbye letter in the mail. I’ll miss ya, frogger.

Lily's goodbye letter in Animal Crossing: City Folk. The Bug-Off competition was held today, but Nat was long gone by the time I turned the game on.

Mallary told me that she heard an interesting beauty tip in Ms. Nintendique magazine. It said to bathe in hot cocoa! Yeah, just make sure it’s nice and scalding hot, Mallary! 😉

Mallary: Maybe I'll try that bath using hot cocoa I read about recently in my Ms. Nintendique magazine.Cousteau was talking about the muggy heat that we’re having on this hot summer night. But he said he was glad that he has a high-performance unitard! I don’t understand how that helps anything, but I’m not even going to try to figure that out.

Cousteau: That's when you're glad you got a high-performance unitard. Slice through that muggy air like butter!Broccolo told me he was looking for a fossil, but he wasn’t sure if he would find one or not. And then, all of a sudden, he was overcome with confidence as his eyes turned yellow. “I’ll find one!” he exclaimed. Good luck with that.

Broccolo: I'll find one!
