Snowball Fight?

It was snowing in town tonight, and Bones approached me with a great idea: He said we should have a snowball fight later! That is something I would love to see in New Horizons!

Bones: Oh, Dry Bones! I have a great idea! Let's have a snowball fight later on, lone bone!

Maybe it could be a hide-and-seek type event, with a timer and official scoring. But I’d be happy even with the ability to bend over and roll up a snowball that we could throw at other players (or villagers). If we can have some lighthearted fun with pitfalls and toy hammers, why not snowballs?

Forest’s last new resident of the decade just arrived: Punchy the cat is here. I’m not sure what to think of him just yet. He’s not a character I have much experience with. Well, I guess this will be my chance to get to know him.

Punchy: I just stuffed all my junk in boxes, so I'm still getting organized.

At Nook ‘n’ Go, today’s furniture selection included a kiddie stereo, a festive candle, and a tulip chair. Or in other words, the most colorful selection of furniture I’ve seen! (Well, maybe.)

Outside, Monty the monkey locked himself out of his house. All I could do is laugh. 😂

Monty: I'm so stupid sometimes. Somehow my key got away from me when I was out running around.
You said it.

At the Roost, I stopped in for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night performance. He played K.K. Condor, which is one of my favorites…although I think I prefer the aircheck over the live version.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Condor.

Puck was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for him.

Don’t flash me.

And Mitzi the cat was already looking forward to spring! I agreed with what she said, but we have a loooooong way to go. Winter is just getting started!

Mitzi: The cold of winter just makes the coming of spring all the sweeter, don't you agree?

Have a great new year, everyone! I’ll be back on the 1st with another entry. I have to pick up my New Year’s shirt for 2020, of course!

Shattered Snowman Dreams

Knox has officially gold rushed out of town, and I received his goldbye letter in the mail today. I won’t be knocking on his door again anytime soon.

Jeff, It's been a blast, pal, but I've made up my mind and I'm moving far away. I've always been a drifter at heart: I'm going wherever the wind takes me. -Knox

Not only was it snowing in town tonight, but Christmas lights were lit up on many cedar trees around town. I found one spot, near the empty “river house,” where three trees in a row were lit up.

In front of town hall, Kitty and Tiffany had an argument about which of them is more bland. I just sat back and enjoyed watching them insult each other, since I don’t care for either one of them. But I particularly enjoyed this look on Kitty’s face…she was speechless.

Kitty, to Tiffany: ...

Ever have an idea that you thought was really good, only to see your plans crumble into pieces before your eyes? That’s what happened to me when I tried to make a snowman by dropping a snowball off a cliff.

Since that didn’t work, I tried making a snowman near the edge of a bridge. Unfortunately, the snowballs rolled a bit away from the bridge and the snowman ended up right on my path.

Snowman: Huh. First time building a snowman? Yeah, I thought so. I mean, pretty good for an amateur...

But after I went into a house and returned, the snowman had moved even more! Now it was a full space left of my path!

Jeff's snowman now stands a full space left of his path.

Oh well. So much for my adventures in snowman-making. Have a great weekend and holiday, and I’ll see you next time! If you’re interested, check my Youtube channel on Sunday for a new episode of Mario Plays ACCF.

Snow, Man!

Winter has arrived in Forest, and snow now covers the ground and trees. The wintry look is always so pretty…at least at first, until we get tired of the snow after a few weeks. 😛

Just four weeks after Sterling moved out, my other knight has followed suit. Knox is all packed up and ready to leave.

Knox: I've got everything packed, but it's going to be kinda lonely leaving this place behind...buzz me.

I saw Tiffany at the Roost today. She told me about the first time she tasted Brewster’s coffee; she said it was so good that she thought she’d never drink sarsaparilla again.

Tiffany: After my first sip, I loved it so much that I thought I'd never again drink my old fave, sarsaparilla.

With winter being fresh and new, I decided to build a snowman…even though the two snowballs weren’t anywhere near each other. I had to push one of them up a ramp.

I thought it would look nice to build the snowman near the fountain.

Snowman: I LIVE!

Unfortunately, my snowman-building skills were a little rusty, and he was not a perfect snowman. But at least he’s alive, right?

Snowman: I've heard there are some nice seasons out there... I wish I could give one of them a try...
Be thankful you’re giving winter a try.

At the gate, I was quite surprised when Booker told me he had 11 items in the lost-and-found. It normally maxes out at ten items (although there is room for twelve).

Booker: I mean, we definitely have 11... I think...
These go to 11.

When I checked it out, I found three Roman candles in there. I left them lying on the ground outside of town hall, and they must have been displaced by Chip’s tent for the fishing tournament last month.

Enjoy the winter snow, and good luck with your snowmen, everyone! I’ll see you next time. 🙂
