Festive Trees, Rich Cub

I received Apollo’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. It’s sad to see him go, but at least Forest is down to just seven cranky villagers now. For the moment, at least.

Jeff, Well, I'm finally moving out of Forest tomorrow. If it makes you feel any better, you're the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Thanks, pal. -Apollo

Not only does snow now cover the ground, but festive lights are now on some cedar trees around town. Near Grizzly’s house, I found a spot where I could see four of them at once (three in the foreground, and one in the background on the left).

Festive lights on trees.

I played too late to catch K.K. Slider at the Roost, but I did run into Vladimir there. He repeated this memorable line while enjoying some coffee:

Vladimir: The coffee here is rich and mysterious, much like myself.

I’ve taken this picture with so many (cranky) villagers before, including Wolfgang, Tom, and Octavian.

I decided to roll up two snowballs and make my first snowman of the season. He ended up being “gorgeous” (his words), so he should be sending me a reward in the mail next time.

Snowman: But I never dreamed that I'd wind up this gorgeous! You, sir, are an artist! I can't thank you enough!

If all goes as planned, I may be playing the Christmas Eve/Toy Day event in City Folk this year. 🙂 Since I played all four version of the event last year (and decided ACCF has my favorite version), I’m going to try to focus more on City Folk this year. (I’ll probably play New Horizons too, but just briefly.)

See you next week! 🙂
