Boo Hooty Hoo

Tonight, I spotted the northern lights in the skies over Forest.

I visited Static, and I had to question his interior decorating skills. He didn’t have much furniture in his house, and yet he had two Spanish shirts sitting out, side-by-side, near a fire hydrant.

Al was finally all packed up and ready to move out of town, so I said goodbye to him. I still have him in Mushroom, though.

Al: Oh, no, now you've started it... I'm so happy, I can't stop crying! Boo hooty hoo! Sneffle snork!
Boo hooty hoo.

I checked out K.K.’s Saturday night performance at the Roost, and he played Agent K.K. for me. It sounded pretty good.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Agent K.K.

I ran into Dizzy outside of Nook ‘n’ Go, and he told me something revealing: He wishes he was Tom Nook! But apparently, only because that would mean he’d own his own store. At least that’s all he’s admitting to today. 😛

Dizzy: Sometimes I wish I was Tom Nook, woo-oo! 'Cause then I'd have my own store!

I checked out Crazy Redd’s shop in the city, and he had a wooden box on sale for 400 bells. I bought it, mainly just because that’s a cheap price for a piece of furniture. And I thought it was funny to hear Redd say “400 bells seems steep.” 😛

Redd: But I told 'em no! This one's for a cousin! Now, I know 400 bells seems steep, but it's a steal!

New Year’s Shirt 2019

Last night, I didn’t play in Forest for the New Year’s Eve countdown…because I was playing in Mario’s town of Mushroom instead. But I did start up Forest afterwards, so I could wish my Forest residents a happy new year as well.

Tortimer: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My villagers returned the sentiment, although Static’s catchphrase made things a bit confusing.

Static: Nice work! You made it another year, 10 years!

Sterling said that 2019 is going to be my breakout year. I hope so. 😛

Sterling: Happy New Year! No doubt about it, 2019 is gonna be your breakout year!

I played again today to pick up my New Year’s Shirt for 2019! Gotta collect ’em all!

Tortimer: Close your eyes and hold out your hands.

It’s the Year of the Pig in the Chinese zodiac, so that’s what you’ll see on the front of the shirt. And naturally, 2019 appears on the back.

I visited Dizzy, and he wanted to propose a toast to old friends in the new year.

Dizzy: I propose a toast, Boy J. To old friends in the new year!

I also started up the game with Scott, so that he could get the new shirt too. It’s always good to have a backup in case I accidentally sell it or something. Especially since it’s something you can only get once.

Yesterday, I posted a video that features the best of my Mario Plays ACCF series. It serves as a recap so you can see which villagers have come and gone, and of course it shows many of the funniest and most memorable moments. If you haven’t been watching the series, it’ll get you caught up. And if you have, it’ll let you relive and remember Mario’s journey. The series will continue into 2019, although it’s no longer a weekly series.

Update: Just thought of something else I wanted to mention. I got New Year’s greetings in the mail from Midge, Opal, Kitty, Static, Maple, Al, and Mom. Mom sent me 1,000 bells, which was nice. But not as nice as my Wild World Mom, who sent me 10,000 bells. 😛

Jingly Days

Hi everyone. I just have a super short entry tonight. Toy Day (Christmas Eve) is over, and Kitty had an unusual way of mentioning that fact: She said the “jingly days” have come and gone. 😛

Kitty: After the jingly days have come and gone, everyone goes into year-end mode!

Kitty was looking forward to the New Year’s Eve countdown, and she invited me to come. I won’t be participating in Forest (but maybe in Mushroom).

Al the gorilla informed me that he’s moving out of town, and I didn’t try to stop him. Even though I don’t dislike him, I don’t particularly like him either; he’s just so-so. Besides, I still have him in Mushroom.

Al: Hey, Bro J, I know this is kinda sudden, but I have to move out of Forest.

Speaking of Al, he’s the topic of my latest Mario Plays ACCF series. Mario has a flashback to working on a construction site, and he wonders if Al could be Donkey Kong! There’s even a court scene; what does the judge decide? Find out in the first minute of this video. (Mario also participates in Toy Day and turns into Mega Mario to get revenge on someone, later on).

That’s all I have for tonight, but stay tuned for more Mario Plays ACCF coming soon! Happy new year, everyone!
