Bloated Bunny

When I played tonight, I received Jambette’s goodbye letter in the mail. Just seeing it made me smile. 🙂

To Jeff, By the time you read this, I probably will have already left Forest... Thanks for everything. I will never forget the good times I had here. Take care, Jambette

When I spoke with my newest neighbor, Gabi, she told me that she recently ate 50 pounds of ice cream. That is a lot of ice cream! 😛

Gabi: I just ate, like, 50 pounds of ice cream, so I'm feeling kinda bloated.

Antonio locked himself out of his house, and lost his key. He was outside, yelling to the key to report for duty. As if it’s going to jump out of the water, back into his hands.

Antonio: Key! KEY! Mr. Key! Helloo? Paging Dr. Key! Sergeant Key, report for duty! Where are you, honk?

I’m starting to think my villagers aren’t very smart. 😉 (Sorry, Antonio, but I wasn’t interested in fishing for your key.)

Over by town hall later, I ran into Gabi again. She said that she only has two bells in her savings account! Maybe she shouldn’t have spent it all on ice cream.

Gabi: I went to get money from my savings, and you know how many bells I have? Like, 2! EEEEEEEEEEEK!

There was no sign of Jambette’s replacement, but whoever it is, they will probably show up next week. Hope to see you then! 🙂

Jam Packed

Last night, Harry invited me over for drinks with some of his friends. He makes his own soda water, cherry cola, and fruit punch. But of course, it’s just meaningless dialogue and not a real invitation. 😛

Harry: I have soda water, cherry cola, and fruit punch! It'll be great, beach bum!

Tonight, Jambette was all packed up and ready to move out of town! 🙂 She can hop on the first Jam-boat outta here, for all I care.

Jambette: Hello there, Dr. J. I'm pretty sure I told you about this, but...I'm moving, beach bum.

I’m glad her stay was so short this time. Not to mention, this probably gives me a good seven years of Jambette immunity. 😎

Up by the bus stop, I listened in on a conversation between Queenie and Boomer. They were talking about food, and Boomer basically said that he prefers any food he can have large quantities of. Queenie was surprised that Boomer doesn’t seem to care about flavor.

Queenie: But I bet you don't care about flavor, do you? You just want to cram food in your mouth, right?

It’s Saturday night, so I headed over to the Roost for K.K.’s show. He performed King K.K. for me tonight.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: King K.K..

After the show, I ran into Queenie again. She was giving me tips on how to water flowers: She said to sprinkle a little here, sprinkle a little there…and then soak them all. 😛

Queenie: SOAK IT ALL!

See you all next time!

A Croak of Relief

I spoke with Jambette tonight, and I really enjoyed our conversation. No, I’m not being sarcastic at all! I enjoyed it because she said she was considering moving out of town!

Jambette: See, I really like living here in Forest, but lately, I feel like things are getting a bit stale for me here.

I told her to go for it…just to be a supportive friend, of course. 😉 I’m honestly shocked that she’s considering moving out so soon! It’s only been a month! But I’ll gladly take this turn of events, and I’ll breathe a nice croak sigh of relief. 😮‍💨

Boomer asked me to make a delivery to Queenie, and the gift was a tall cactus! Who sends a cactus as a gift? (Other than Janet from The Good Place, of course.) But Queenie actually seemed thrilled with it, and Boomer rewarded me with a citrus carpet.

Queenie, shocked: Wow! It's a tall cactus!

Antonio was sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine I had stored in a letter. Get well soon!

Down at the Roost, I told K.K. I was feeling a bit blue. So he played K.K. Chorale for me. Interestingly, that’s the same song he played for me in New Horizons tonight!

K.K.: Here's a jam that'll shine the blues clean off your shoes... It's called K.K. Chorale.

When I visited Gabi, she told me she hasn’t cleaned in the corners of her house. So I may find a dust bunny. How appropriate. 😛

Gabi: EEEEK! I forgot to clean the corners! Sorry. You might find a dust bunny or whatever over there.

Roscoe asked me for some lampy furniture, but I couldn’t find any lamps at the shop, in the recycle bin, or the lost-and-found. I guess he’ll have to get used to being in the dark. 😛
