Vlad Out, UFO Down

On Tuesday, Harry sent me a letter thanking me for the medicine recently. He attached a bear pole to the letter.

Pascal was standing on my southern bridge, and he shared some wise words about complaining. πŸ˜›

Pascal: It's free to complain, but you pay for it in the end.

I gave him a scallop, and in return, he handed over an anchor. I decided to put it in my house for now, even if it doesn’t fit the theme of any of my rooms.

Yesterday, Vladimir was all packed up and ready to move out of town. πŸ‘

Vladimir: Well, well, well. I'm glad you finally made it here, boss! 'Cause I'm leaving, at circus.

In the recycle bin at town hall, I was surprised to find twoβ€”yes, twoβ€”bathtubs! It’s rare enough to find two items there at all, let alone two of the same exact thing! Weird. πŸ›

I didn’t spot any special visitors in town, so I checked for the UFO last night. To my surprise, it actually came! I missed the first fly-by; I heard it, but didn’t see it. But I was ready for the return flight, and I shot it down! Woohoo!

Bang! I fire my slingshot and hit Gulliver's UFO.

This was my 33rd UFO overall, and my first one since last June. I looked around and found the spaceship part. Today, I headed down to the beach to find Gulliver.

Gulliver sleeps near his crash-landed UFO in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

I woke him up, and he wasn’t happy when he realized his ship was missing a piece.

Gulliver: No way!

I handed him the missing part, and he rewarded me with a Merlion. I like that item a lot, so I put it in my house.

Boomer told me that Hopper was making fun of his catchphrase (“awwwk,” which he learned from Queenie), so he wanted something new to say. As Hopper snuck up behind him to listen in on our conversation, I told Boomer to say “let’s fly.” It’s partially because he looks like a pilot, but also for the irony of penguins being one of the few birds that can’t fly.

Boomer: What's up, let's fly!

Note: Vladimir was still in boxes today, so I won’t get his goodbye letter until next time.

Flea Chocolate

Yesterday, Vladimir told me that he was thinking about moving out of town. I did not try to stop him, mainly because of my cranky villager surplus.

Vladimir: I've been starting to think maybe I've gotten a little too comfy here in Forest, ya know?

I played again today, but it was too soon for him to be in boxes. Look for that when I play again next week.

As I was banging a rock, looking for money, I heard the little jumping sounds of a flea. I got my net out and caught a flea that was on Roscoe. I liked his comment about being chocolate to fleas. πŸ˜›

Roscoe: Don't know why, but I'm extra delicious to fleas. I'm like a flea chocolate!

A few minutes later, I found that Antonio was also suffering from fleas! I also freed him from his flea infestation.

I caught a flea! Itchy itchy!

It’s not that often that I see two villagers with fleas in the same day, much less just a few minutes apart. But I have to wonder why Antonio, of all my villagers, couldn’t take care of it himself? He sucks bugs through a straw every day of his life! He should be good at that sort of thing by now. πŸ˜‰

Over by Pac-Man Pond, a pair of penguins were having an impromptu penguin party.

Boomer: Yaaaaaay, it's Dr. J! Let's have fun in the sun! Let's play the whole day!

They didn’t tell me what the occasion was, but they sure seemed to be having a good time. πŸ˜›

Harry has been sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine Monday, yesterday, and then again today.

Harry flips as he takes some cold medicine.
Get well soon, so you can be healthy enough to leave after Vladimir goes. πŸ˜›

Wendell was in town, but I didn’t stop to talk to him (or give him food). I’m sure he’ll be okay, though. πŸ˜›

Have a great weekend, everyone! See you again soon. πŸ™‚

Foot Fingers

On Monday, Vladimir asked me to make a delivery to Grizzly for him. I agreed to help out, and Grizzly was happy with the skull shirt that Vladimir sent.

Grizzly: It's great to have friends that'll go out of their way to send you a little something, at circus!

Vladimir later rewarded me with an old brick wall. Just what I always wanted. πŸ˜›

Tom Nook was apparently hosting a block party at Nook ‘n’ Go. πŸ˜‰ The three pieces of furniture for sale were all tall, rectangular items: an exotic wardrobe, a storage case, and a ranch bookcase.

Is this the right angle to take a screenshot from? πŸ˜‰

At Crazy Redd’s shop in the city, I jokingly tried to buy an item I didn’t have the money for. Redd wasn’t happy that I tried to get it for cheaper than his asking price, and he said “What’n the Sam Hill?” πŸ˜›

Redd: What'n the Sam Hill?

And with St. Patrick’s Day coming up soon, I made my annual transformation into Mohawk McClover yesterday. But I took it a step further than usual by getting green shoes this time! Well, they’re green and white stripes, but that’s the best I can do. πŸ˜›

Tonight, Pascal was in town, standing on Forest’s middle bridge. He asked if fingers started growing on our feet, would we have to call them hands instead of feet? Pascal says some odd stuff sometimes, but this is one of his weirdest comments.

Pascal: If fingers start growing on your feet, do you have to call them hands, maaaan?

Boomer said he was considering moving out, and I asked him to stay. Not so much because I like him, but because I really want to get some more crankies out instead (just not Tom). I think I changed his mind, but his dialogue wasn’t 100% convincing.

Boomer: But I'll try asking if there's some way I can stay!

I tried talking to him several more times, and he didn’t mention moving. But I did (accidentally) catch a conversation between him and Lobo. They were talking about food, and I couldn’t even see Lobo behind the cliff. I couldn’t see much of Boomer, either. πŸ˜›

Lobo: Wow...ah-rooooo. Just hearing that gives me heartburn...

Have a great weekend, Animal Crossing fans! πŸ™‚
