Losing My Biskit

I received a letter from Big Top in the mail today, telling me that he is now over his cold. He sent me a shogi board to thank me for the medicine I gave him last week.

With Static moving back in recently, I’ve been thinking about what a great lineup I have here in Forest. Static, Big Top, Biskit, Rosie, and Antonio are among my favorites, and of course Scoot and Willow are pretty cool too. However, it’s hard to keep a great lineup together in this game, and one of my favorites is already on the way out (as I learned today). Biskit is all packed up and ready to move out. 🙁

Biskit: That's right, I'm leaving Forest. It's been great knowing you, but it's time for me to move on now.

When I visited Willow tonight, she said that it’s hard to stay in her house ever since someone wore a tacky outfit in her house!

Willow: Ever since someone wore a tacky outfit in my house recently...I've found it very hard to stay in it.
How is that possible? I’m the only one who visits you!

She said she even has the urge to move out! Wow, that’s quite a reaction to someone else’s clothes!

Willow: I've really been fighting the urge to move out, bo peep...

I went over to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s show, and he performed “K.K. Lament” for me. It’s a sad song, but that’s probably fitting for the day that Biskit is moving out.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Lament.

After the show, I ran into Rosie. She was talking about the Happy Room Academy evaluations, and how she gets creeped out imagining them snooping around.

Rosie: If I start to think about the creepy Happy Room folks looking in my house, I get kinda freaked out.

But then again, she’s also scared of gazpacho. 😛

Rosie: ...But I'm also scared of gazpacho, so you probably shouldn't listen to me! Tee hee hee!

No Dung

Yesterday, I received a letter from the snowman I built last week. He sent me a snowman bed to keep me cool as I sleep. But I just turned it into some cold hard cash instead.

Of course, the winter snow is gone now, replaced by the green grass of spring. So when Rosie asked me to catch a dung beetle for her, it was completely impossible.

Rosie: Yeah, so, Super J, would you pleeeease catch a dung beetle for me? Pleeeeeeeeeease?
Sorry, Rosie. I would if I could.

Big Top has been sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and today.

Deena asked me to deliver a gift (a lovely carpet) to Willow tonight, and I agreed to help out. Willow is so cute! Especially when she closes her eyes like this!

Willow: Hey, J-dog, thanks for going out of your way to deliver that to me.

When I returned to Deena, she thanked me for making the delivery by giving me 528 bells.

After selling some fruit, I was able to get my bank account balance up to 76 million bells.

Your current balance is 76,000,000 bells.

Later on, I went over to the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night concert. I asked for a random song (as usual), and he performed “K.K. Waltz” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Waltz.

A couple days ago, I posted my latest ACCF video: City Folk Moments #32! A little birdie wants you to check it out.

See you next week!

Static’s Back!

I received a letter from Biskit in the mail today. Don’t worry, he didn’t move out. But he’s over the cold that he had last week. To thank me for the medicine, he sent me some bowling pins. I guess my kindness really bowled him over. 🎳

When I checked the bulletin board, I saw confirmation that Willow did indeed win the fishing tournament last week. I knew nobody was going to top her 77-inch tuna.

I spoke with Antonio on a bridge, and he told me that he lost the key to his house. He wanted me to help him look, up his nose! Now that’s one place I’m not going to look!

Antonio: This is a total emergency! All hands on deck! Help me look, up my nose!

I spotted both of today’s snowballs in the big open area west of my fountain. It’s the spot where I held the original Pitfall Pandemonium. But I rolled the snowballs up and made what will probably be my last snowman of winter.

Snowman: I am an ivory idol! A frozen confection! And I owe it all to your skills! You have my eternal gratitude, sir!

The snow will actually be gone by Wednesday, believe it or not. And I’m not sure what day(s) I will play the game next week.

Once I worked my way around town, I found a house in the spot where Antonio originally lived, many years ago. Inside, I was very happy to find another returning former villager: Static!

Static: Say, I know that face... You live in Forest!

Even though it looks like he remembers me based on that last screenshot, I don’t think he really does. He also said it was nice to meet me, and he’s using his default clothes and catchphrase.

But anyway, Static is one of my favorite villagers in the entire series. He lived in Forest before (from 2015-2020), and of course I also have him in my GameCube and New Horizons towns as well. Welcome to Forest, old buddy!

I did a little fishing for Antonio’s key, and I actually found it right next to Antonio. Hey, it practically was right under his nose after all! 😛

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?

I handed him the key, and he thanked me by giving me a mega harmonoid. I also caught a stringfish moments before (that I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t been fishing for his key), so maybe I’ll consider that part of my reward as well. 😛

Later on, I wrapped up my night with a stop at the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Marathon” for me. One of my least favorite songs in the game.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Marathon.

Yesterday, I posted an updated version of my Animal Crossing: Ultimate Quick Comparisons. It takes a look at many aspects of Animal Crossing and sees how they compare against other games in the series. Please check it out!

See you all next week!
