Wisp and Friday Night Forest

While walking around town this evening, I found an empty lamp.

Finding an empty lamp on the ground behind Nook's shop.I later stumbled into Wisp, the ghost.

Wisp: But if you help me find my missing lamp, I'll give you something really nice.He told me to meet him in my attic and then rub his lamp.

Wisp: But first, can we head back to your attic? It smells like old wood, and that makes me happy.I did just that and he offered a reward. I asked him for furniture.

Wisp: I gotcha! Hmmm... Let's see... Let's see, what do I have? ...AH HA!He gave me a siphon, which was an item I needed for my catalog.

A siphon as seen in my golden furniture room.At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Yann and Megan came over to visit. I shot a party popper at Megan, and this picture captured the explosion perfectly.

Firing off a party popper in Megan's face.It was raining, so Megan used her leaf umbrella in an attempt to blend in.

Megan, hiding under her leaf umbrella: Where'd Megan go?Megan soon fell into my pitfall trap again. As long as people keep falling into my pitfalls, I see no reason to move them around. They’re doing their job well.

Jeff laughs at Megan, who fell into a pitfall. We then saw Rowan, and his umbrella was a much better disguise than Megan’s.

Rowan is camouflaged as he uses a grass umbrella.Yann was away for a bit, and Megan pushed her into a pitfall. How could she do such a thing? 😉

Yann struggles in a pitfall.Since it was raining, we went coelacanth hunting. Yann was the first to catch one.

Yann shows off a coelacanth she caught.Yann was having the best luck with coelacanths, Megan was finding sharks, and I was doing good with bugs.

Jeff: Rainbow stag! 10,000 bells!Jeff holds up a rainbow stag, Megan holds up a shark, and Yann holds up a coelacanth.I also noticed the snails practically go up my nose.

Jeff: Watch [the] snail go up my nose.We somehow ended up discussing Mario Kart, and how we all play as Koopa Troopa.

Jeff: No, I'm Koopa! Megan: No, I'M Koopa! Yann: No I am Koopa! We were definitely having a good time. But it was far from over.

Tonight was a great night in Forest. It was full of rain, coelacanths, sharks, goliaths, rainbow stags, snails, and most importantly, MOTHS.We kept playing, and playing, and playing. I ended up closing my gate just after 4:00 a.m. Eventually, we all caught coelacanths, although I was the last one to do it. We had a great time.

Megan: YOU DIDN'T HYPHEN! Jeff: Hyphen is not a verb!Yann: Yeah my game is still on ha. Jeff: LOL Yann, really?Jeff: bed napper. Yann: bed slasher. Megan: mouse trapper.Yann, Jeff, and Megan holding up coelacanths.

Don & the Resetti Surveillance Center

I went to the city tonight and I saw that the cones at the right side of the city were moved out of the way. This is the entrance to Resetti’s Surveillance Center. If you’ve never seen it, this is what to look for:

Cones moved to the side, indicating the Reset Center is open.I went inside, but Resetti wasn’t there. He was out somewhere, probably yelling at somebody who reset their game. But his brother Don was in there. For some reason, Don was talking about how he tried to get in the bath with his brother one time. 😮

Don: It's a long story, but I tried to get in there with him one time, and I thought I was gonna boil like a potato. There wasn’t really anything else to do in there, so I left and went back to Forest. Rowan was walking around, and he asked me to make a delivery for him. So I took an item to Yuka, as he requested. It was a flame shirt and Yuka didn’t like it at all.

Yuka: A flame shirt?! Good thing I'm not sipping lime soda... or I'd spit it out!I returned to Rowan and he thanked me for making the delivery. He gave me a kitschy tile as a reward.

Rowan: So, you delivered the present? That is huge, inside me!My neighborhood rooster Egbert asked me for a new greeting. I chose a phrase that players of Harvest Moon 64 should remember.

Egbert: "Yoo-hoo brother!!"And finally, I shot down a balloon present. It contained a cannon. Don’t ask me how a single balloon could carry a cannon, but that’s Animal Crossing logic for you. 😉

My inventory screen showing my new cannon. The player window is focused on a red rose above me instead of my character.
In this picture, I seem to have turned into some red roses.

Blanca

Blanca was in town today, displaying a “happy” face that Brian drew for her.

Blanca: See?! That's what I've been saying! Brian from Jannali drew this for me, you know. She asked me to draw a creepy face for her, so I gave it a shot.

Blanca, with a creepy face, looks at me creepily. She’s apparently blind though, so she has no idea how her face looks. She just has to take our word for it.

Blanca: Hee hee! My face has a real creepy vibe going on... I think.Blanca is like Katie or Kaitlin in the sense that she only appears if you have WiiConnect24 enabled. If any of those “Wi-Fi characters” are in town, they will prevent you from seeing if there are any regular visitors scheduled for that day. But there is a way to check…just open the gate. Blanca, Katie, and Kaitlin will disappear once the gate has been opened. Here is Booker talking about the visitor (Blanca) when the gate is closed…

Booker: I believe a mysterious cat came through here and into town...And after opening the gate just seconds later, Booker informs me that Saharah is now in town!

Booker: Yeah, Saharah went by with a backpack full of carpets and wallpaper... I think.I did not bother with chasing down Saharah, so I closed the gate again. That makes Saharah disappear and Blanca re-appear.

Anyway, it was raining in Forest today, so I didn’t need to water my flowers. I talked to some of my animals, and Bob asked me to catch a lantern fly for him. I didn’t go looking for one today, but perhaps tomorrow or Wednesday.

Bob: You know, lately I've been thinking of getting a pet, up my nose.
