Today is a busy day in the land of City Folk. It’s Easter, so Zipper the bunny is in town, and there are many eggs buried all around town. It’s also flea market day, which Chief took way too literally.
I went to the city to check out the new emotions at the theater: Surprise, laughter, disappointment, and sorrow. I’m starting to wonder if I’ll ever see Frillard again.
Once I got back to town, I started digging up Easter eggs.

If you don’t know, some will contain candy and some will contain bunny foils. The bunny foils can then be taken to Zipper and exchanged for pieces of egg furniture.

The candy has no real use at Easter; you can eat it or save it for Halloween (or Festivale). I laid the candy aside for Guest (my 2nd character) to keep in storage. After exchanging all 12 bunny foils for the egg furniture set, I promptly sold it all.

As for not having patterns as a path, I actually made a couple wrong turns while navigating Forest. I’m so used to the paths being there that I twice briefly thought I was somewhere other than where I really was. Two new black roses appeared today, both of which popped up where the path normally would have been. I wonder if that means they wouldn’t have shown up at all if the patterns were there. Or perhaps they still would have appeared, but in a different spot? I really don’t know the answer to that one.
