Camofrog Crops Up

On Sunday, I found a new house in the same spot where Fang was living recently. Inside, I found a new frog: Camofrog. I don’t recall if he has lived in ACCF Forest before…but if he did, it was before I started the blog in 2011.

Camofrog: The name's Camofrog.
His house: Part boxes, part boxing.

I’m fairly neutral towards him. He’s not one of my favorites, but I don’t really dislike him either. He has the same carpet and wallpaper (boxing ring mat and ringside seating) as Big Top, though. And speaking of Big Top, I saw him in the Roost today. He said he starts to get sleepy around noon.

Big Top: I always start to get sleepy around noon. Too sleepy even to pick up the cup...

He even wondered if he could get Brewster to pour his coffee directly into his mouth, since he was too tired to lift his cup. Yeah, I don’t think that will happen.

Big Top: I wonder if Brewster would pour the coffee directly into my mouth if I asked him nicely.

Later tonight, I checked out K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Technopop” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Technopop.

After the show, I saw that Camofrog was home. I went in to see his house, now that he’s all unpacked. A few of his furniture items match the boxing theme, but he certainly seems to like blue furniture in general.

Wow, I just realized this blog entry has five screenshots, and they’re all taken in just two locations: The Roost and Camofrog’s house! Sorry for the lack of variety this week! 😆

Harvest Festival 2025

I received Fang’s goodbye letter in the mail today. So long, friend.

Jeff, Well, I'm finally moving out of Forest tomorrow. If it makes you feel any better, you're the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Thanks, pal. -Fang
Unhappy Fangs-giving? 😛

Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. (aka Turkey Day), and the game celebrates the occasion with the Harvest Festival. I met up with Tortimer outside of town hall, where there were banquet tables set up with dishes, fruit, drinks, and silverware. Mr. Mayor was looking forward to gorging himself silly.

Tortimer: Today's the day we wear our baggiest pants and gorge ourselves silly!

Deena was also excited about the festival. This was before it officially started, though.

Deena: I was so excited last night, I couldn't sleep at all! I'm down!
Doesn’t down make for a good pillow?

I cleaned out my upstairs room, moving out my Jingle furniture. In its place, I put my harvest furniture set from last year (except for the dresser, which I still needed). Those items have been on the ground in front of Nook ‘n’ Go for a full year now, so it’s good to finally have it cleaned up. 😆

As for the Jingle set, I left it out for my other character, Scott. His storage was full, so I just plopped it all down in his house.

At 3:00 p.m., the event officially started, and I got my first set of silverware from Tortimer.

Tortimer: You know, if you want to do the Harvest Festival right, you need a knife and fork, sprout!

So I began my search for Franklin. It didn’t take long, because his first hiding spot of the day was not only close to town hall, but it was right behind a sign post. He’s so much easier to spot when he hides behind these. 😆

Franklin tries to hide behind a sign post.

Of course, I also chatted with my villagers too. Big Top knew about the fork and knife, but he wondered what to do with the spoon. He had an unusual idea, though…

Big Top: I know what the fork and knife do, but what about the spoon? Do I dangle it from my nose?
Yes. Do that.

I continued to find Franklin repeatedly, scoring more harvest furniture left and right. But a couple of times, I resorted to asking for hints when I had trouble tracking down the turkey.

Biskit: I saw a shady figure lurking around Guest's house. It's sooooo weird! You be careful out there!

After collecting about 10 items from Franklin (still without getting the dresser I needed), I took a break for a bit. When I returned, it was already dark out. But it only took me a few more tries before I finally got the dresser.

Franklin: You know what? Just to say thanks, I'll give you this harvest dresser.

In all, I got 14 items from Franklin: Ten pieces of furniture and four wallpapers! I kept the dresser and sold everything else for 34,797 bells.

And of course, I put the dresser in my upstairs room to complete the set.

My complete set of harvest furniture.

I’ve also added this screenshot to my new ACCF Harvest Festival Guide.

I hope you all had a successful Harvest Festival/Turkey Day! And Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! 🦃 Thank you all for checking out these blogs and watching my videos, I appreciate it! 😊

Fang Flees Forest

I received a letter from Biskit in the mail when I started up the game today. He is over his cold now, and he sent me a kiddie wardrobe to thank me for the medicine I gave him last week.

Antonio told me he hears weird cartoonish sounds coming from his body when he’s lying in bed. That’s funny, because I’ve had that happen too! 😆

Antonio: And when I'm laying in bed, I hear weird cartoon sound effects coming from my body.

He attributed the sounds to a growth spurt, but then he wondered if he accidentally swallowed a TV. 😛

Over at Able Sisters, I decided to buy a straw shirt. It may not be the best looking shirt, but I wanted something different. And it certainly fits the autumn season!

Mabel: Oh, that looks absolutely perfect on you! Shall I wrap it up?

When I went into Fang’s house, I was surprised to find the wolf packed up! He’s moving away, without giving me any advance warning. He only lasted four months in Forest, which is quite disappointing.

Fang: Whoa, is that J-boo? Well, I'll be!

Rosie asked me for a fossil, so I gave her a pachy skull that I dug up today. She was very excited about it, and she rewarded me with 528 bells.

Rosie: If I was any happier, I think I'd be a sundae, Super J!

Later on, I returned to the game to catch K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked him for a random song, and he played “K.K. D & B” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. D & B.

When I checked the recycle bin, I found an arcade machine and a gargloid. I gave the gargloid to Brewster for storage. Surprisingly, it was one of just a few gyroids that he isn’t already holding for me. I want to complete his collection at some point.

I’ve posted two ACCF videos since last week, including City Folk Moments #30:

And the other one is my annual slideshow. Here is The 17th Year in Pictures:

See you next week! Have a Happy Thanksgiving/Harvest Festival! 🦃
