On Sunday, I saw another of my favorite villagers in town as a tourist: Kiki! She was my Wild World bestie for a long time, and it was great to see her in this game too!

Over at the campsite, I found Jacques the bird camping. He seems nice, but I didn’t particularly want him to move in.

On Monday, Agent S had an amusing bit of dialogue about seeing a grasshopper with a beard! Pretty funny! 😆

When I ran into Ankha, she had a surprise for me: She said she has decided to move out!

She has lived in Forest for three years, and seeing some of these other great villagers as tourists had strengthened my resolve to not let Forest get too stagnant. So I didn’t try to stop her.
On Tuesday, I visited Ankha for the last time to say goodbye. Good luck on your new adventures, Ankha!

I’ll still see her on my GameCube island occasionally, so the goodbye certainly isn’t forever.
After completing some daily Nook Miles+ goals, my balance hit a cool number: 5,555,550 miles. Too bad the last digit can’t be a five as well. 😛

Yesterday, it was initially raining when I first started up the game. I caught an oarfish and a coelacanth back-to-back! 😁 Makes you wish the fishing was always that good.
It was weird to see an empty plot where Ankha’s house has sat for three years. Before that, Hornsby lived there for three years as well (and Marcel lived there before him, but just briefly).

It was March 18th, so it was a day late for St. Patrick’s Day…but I saw Lyman in town as a tourist! ☘️ And there was actually another green tourist right behind him, Henry the frog. (This was after the rain cleared up in the afternoon.)

Once I was done making my rounds, I grabbed five Nook Miles Tickets and started hunting for a new villager! On the very first island, I found Aurora the penguin! I like her a lot, and she has lived in my New Leaf town since Day 1.

I was definitely tempted to take her, but I ultimately decided not to. If she had been on my 4th or 5th NMT island instead of my first, I probably would’ve invited her to Forest. But I at least wanted to take a chance to find one of my very top favorites, particularly one that I don’t already have in another town.
I then destroyed everything in sight and robbed the island of all its natural resources. 😆 (Crafting those DIY goods for Kapp’n has depleted my supply of wood and weeds.)
When I was done, I headed off to the next island. Axel the elephant was there, and he would make a good villager too. But I didn’t invite him to Forest either, and I’m glad I didn’t. Because on the third island, I was digging up a fossil when I spotted some striped legs. I knew exactly whose legs they were, and I was ecstatic! It was Savannah the zebra, and I immediately invited her to Forest! 😃

Savannah is one of my all-time favorites, and she is one that I rarely seem to have in any of my towns! I had just seen Savannah as a tourist last week, and I even commented how I hoped she would show up as a camper. But this is even better, since I don’t have to kick anyone out to get her!
One other note: She did not remember me from last week’s visit to Forest. For some reason, tourists retain memories, but animals on mystery islands don’t.
Today, I went over to see my new neighbor. The first thing I noticed is how nice her house looks on the outside! It’s so cute!

I went inside to say hello. I’m so happy to have her! Welcome to Forest, Savannah!

The only “bad” thing is that I’ll have to (eventually) decide if she has overtaken June as my favorite villager in town. It may be a tough decision, but I’ll see how things go in the coming days. 🙂
Merengue’s birthday was today, so I also made sure to attend her party. I gave her a cherry pie that I made for her. Static was also at the party to help her celebrate. Happy birthday, Merengue!

On Tuesday, I posted my latest New Horizons Moments video. Please give it a watch if you haven’t seen it yet!
See you all next time!
