The Thinker

Yesterday, Gulliver sent me a veil in the mail. I don’t like how it looks, so I sold it to the Nooks.

C.J. was in town, and he wanted me to catch three big-time fish in a row. I caught a sea bass, a snapping turtle, and a yellow perch to complete the seasports challenge. I only had three pikes in storage (aside from a few fish I’m keeping to show off), and I sold them for a total of 8,100 bells.

At the plaza, Tia, Eloise, and Apollo were performing Lucky K.K. for anyone that wanted to enjoy the show. Moments later, I ran into Wisp over in Donkey Kong Country. I collected his five spirits, and he rewarded me with a blue-paint wall.

Today, I was happy to find that Louie sent me some art in the mail! It was a familiar statue, and it was the real deal! Not only that, but it’s one I needed for the museum! Redd hasn’t been helping me out lately, so it’s good that someone is! Thanks, Louie!

Thinking with The Thinker.

It’s nice that from certain angles, my art gallery doesn’t look totally empty any more. 😛 Of course, there’s still a very long way to go, but it’s nice to see some progress! At least I think so…

Tia told me that she recently starting knitting coasters. But she got a bit carried away, and now she has more coasters than glasses. 😛

Tia: That got me to knit more, but I got a little carried away. Now I have more coasters than glasses, in my tea!

My old New Leaf buddy Kidd the goat was camping at the campsite. He’s a good kid, but I didn’t invite him into town. If I had a free spot, I might have considered it, though.

Kidd, at the campsite: So far, I like what I'm seeing. 100 percent of Kidds would rate this campground highly.

I finally redecorated the main room of my house. The ice furniture is out, and the spooky furniture is in. I don’t plan on doing much decorating outdoors though. Maybe a few pumpkins here and there, but nothing like I did last year.

Speaking of Halloween, I posted a new Halloween guide yesterday. You can find it here if you want a refresher on how the event works.

The Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct is coming up tomorrow morning! For my real-time reactions, check out my Twitter. I’ll probably post a summary of my thoughts later tomorrow or on Saturday, possibly in video form. See you soon!

Raggedy Jeff

When K.K. Slider was in town on Sunday night, I asked him for a sad song. He played K.K. Western for me, Bones, and Static.

I’ve made a huge mistake.

Sylvia and her child were camping at the campsite. I said hello, but I did not invite them to move in.

Sylvia: Hey, do you live out here? You do! What's up, temporary-neighbor!
Hey, campers!

Yesterday, Celeste was in town during a light meteor shower. She gave me a large star fragment.

At Able Sisters, I bought myself a raggedy outfit. It seems fitting for the Halloween season, although I’m likely to change my outfit again before then (perhaps multiple times).

Jolly Redd was in town, but all four of his works of art were counterfeit! I still bought the (fake) valiant statue, however.

Today, Gulliver was in town. I dug up the five pieces of his communicator, and then I returned them to him. He’ll send me a gift tomorrow.

Tia was sick with a cold, so I caught a wasp and used the nest to craft some medicine for her. She thanked me by giving me an emblem blazer.

Tia starts feeling better after taking her medicine.

We’re less than three days away from the Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct! I’m getting excited to see what’s coming to the game!

See you all next time!

Fall Fishing Tourney

Believe it or not, the final fishing tournament of the year was held today. I decided to participate, even if it was just for one run. I ended up catching five fish, which was good for seven points.

I caught a black bass! Gotta keep this up!

As the three-minute timer ended, I shot down a balloon present right in front of C.J.; I wonder if that pleased his viewers on his livestream.

Reel it in! The Fishing Tourney is over!

The present was a recipe for a spooky tree.

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for a spooky tree!

It’s a tree with no leaves, with jack-o’-lanterns hanging from the branches. After crafting it, I’ve now made all three of the new spooky items for 2021.

I spoke with C.J. to sell my fish and redeem my points. I only had enough points for one item, which was a fish umbrella.

Hornsby and Louie were fishing with their rods crossed. That’s a great way to get your lines tangled together!

Static was very frustrated during the tourney that he couldn’t catch anything. But after it was over, he acted as if he caught a ton of fish! Sure you did! 😂

Static: You wouldn't believe all the fish I caught today! What a haul!

I hope you all had a successful fishing tournament! See you next time!
