Wisp was in town on Sunday night, so I gathered up his spirits for him. Two at a time. 😉
When I returned them all to him, he gave me a (yellow) diner chair.
Hornsby was talking about wishing on shooting stars. He said that he was going to wish that he would become a giant robot version of himself, called Mecha-Hornsby. He would even let me ride on his shoulder. 😀
Yesterday, Louie hopped into his chair as I entered his house…and I just thought it looked funny. 😛
Celeste was in town, and she taught me the DIY recipe for a tulip wand.
There was a camper in town, and I was horrified when I walked in and saw an evil clown!
I was fortunate just to escape with my life. I hope that thing never shows up in Forest again!
Today, Bones told me he tried to fill his house with furniture that feels like him. But he assured me that he’s still softer. 😀 Aww, I wish I could pet him and see. 😛
It was raining in town, which means I’ll have lots of new flowers to clean up tomorrow. That’s never fun, but at least it’s been a while since I’ve had rain so it’s not too heartbreaking. 😛
It’s K.K. Slider night, and several of my villagers were seated around K.K. to enjoy the show. However, Eloise was standing right in the middle of them. She wasn’t walking through, she was literally just standing there doing nothing.
So I decided to have a little fun with it…or at least try to. In older Animal Crossing games, you could request a phony song title and K.K. would (after the show), say something like “Sorry, but I don’t know _____________.” I used this multiple times in previous games.
So I tried something similar, and hoped that Eloise would still be standing there by the end of the song. I wanted K.K. to say “I don’t know why she’s standing there.” Once making the request, I sat down, and the song started. But something happened that I was not expecting: Eloise disappeared once the show started!
Just to be clear, she did not walk out of the area. But apparently, villagers who aren’t seated no longer show up during shows?? Watching villagers walk through shows was also fun, so I really don’t understand why they changed this…unless it’s just a glitch?
Once the song ended, Eloise reappeared. But I was very disappointed by something else: K.K. does not mention the song title you requested. He just says he “didn’t know the song you wanted.”
Oh well. It was worth a try, though!
When I spoke with Bones, he said sometimes plays so hard that he forgets to go home when the sun goes down. He also forgets where he lives, and even wonders if he’s a werewolf and if he ate someone. Wow, that’s really bad.
But Eloise and Bones weren’t the only villagers acting weird tonight. Tia told me that she likes her ears in her tea! 😉
I did a little diving (to meet a Nook Miles+ goal, of course), and I found a scallop. Pascal showed up and started talking about tall people. He also made an X-Files reference, saying “the truth is up there” instead of “the truth is out there.” 😛
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. See you next time!
If you’re not aware, the rodeo-style springy ride-on is again available as a seasonal item from Nook Shopping (for Brazil’s Cowboy Festival). It’s the same one that was available last year, but you can order it now through August 15th if you missed out on it last time.
Yesterday, Bones told me he was trying to act more mature…so he started making coffee. Except that it tasted like angry, hot, black water. Eww.
He concluded that he must be adding too much dirt to it. 😮 Yeah, that would make it pretty nasty.
C.J. was in town and he had a freestyle seasports challenge for me. I caught a freshwater goby, hammerhead shark, dace, crucian carp, and pale chub to complete the challenge.
But before I could grab fish from storage to sell to C.J., Hornsby distracted me. He said he got into a fight with Apollo, and he wanted to send a gift to patch things up. So I took the package up to Eagle Mountain, and it contained…a cardboard box!
Apollo inexplicably loved it, thinking that Hornsby went out of his way to send a nice gift. 😀 He rewarded me with a chef’s outfit.
Fortunately, I then remembered to grab some fish out of storage. Even though I only had six fish, most of them were sharks…so C.J. paid me 109,500 bells for them.
Today, Jac mailed me a superhero uniform for Hornsby (after seeing Hornsby’s superhero comments from the other day). So I passed it on to Hornsby, and he loved it! Thanks, Jac! Hornsby rewarded me with some bunny ears.
Since I had a leftover tailors ticket, I used it to buy some bubblegum at Able Sisters.
Flick was in town, so I sold him eight bugs for 72,000 bells.
I posted the latest Wi-Fi Moments video today featuring online highlights of the past few months…including the return of Yann, who was in many of my ACCF Wi-Fi Moments videos.
I’ve been in a bit of a New Horizons lull lately, which often happens in between big projects (like my races and obstacle courses). So I’m going to reduce the frequency of blog entries to a minimum of three per week. (Some weeks may still have four, particularly when things pick up with some villager movement or my next designing project.) I’ll still be playing daily though.
But lately, I’ve been playing more Wild World as I work towards getting my golden axe (and some other goals) in that game. So if you’re interested, head on over to my Wild World Blog.
