Dipped in Gravy

Yesterday, Bones sent me a scented postcard in the mail. But it didn’t smell like flowers or fruit, it smelled like gravy! Bones dipped it in gravy and then licked it clean. That’s kind of gross, honestly. But I guess it is in-character for a dog!

Hiiii, burrito! Do you like hos this postcard smells? I dipped it in gravy, then licked the gravy off and sent it to you! Man, I love smells! -Bones

There are a couple of new seasonal items available now, a festival zongzi for the Dragon Boat Festival, and a surichwi tteok for the Dano Festival. You have until June 14th to order them.

Festival zongzi: 1,000 bells.

Bones was crafting, appropriately enough, a bone doorplate.

Bones: I'm making me a bone doorplate!
Yeah, but did you customize it by dipping it in gravy?

He acted surprised that I already knew how to make one, even though I’m the one who gave him the bone doorplate he’s already using on his door!

Today, I ran into Tybalt out on the dock. He offered to buy my garbage can for 312 bells, and I agreed to the deal.

Tybalt: I've been hunting high and low for a garbage can. No luck.

As you can see in that screenshot, Gulliver was washed up on the beach. I woke him up and retrieved the five pieces of his communicator for him. He’ll be sending me a reward in the mail tomorrow.

I did some fishing, and I caught several sharks today…even a flying one. 😉

A shark flies through the air as I reel it in.

Even though I don’t need the bells, it is satisfying to catch sharks and other valuable fish and bugs again.

Later on, I found Wisp floating around town. I gathered his spirits for him, and he gave me a black-crown wall…which doesn’t look as cool as it sounds.

Golden Axe

Gullivarrr was in town yesterday, and I went diving to retrieve his communicator. I received his gift in the mail today; it was a pirate dress. I didn’t even check the color, I just put it into storage.

It was K.K. Slider night, so I asked the singing dog for a random song. He performed K.K. Cruisin’ for me, Apollo, Agent S, Louie, and Tia. Good song!

K.K. Slider performs for residents of Forest.

Louie told me a funny story about being chased by a tarantula. He said it chased him around the entire island three times! He had such a good run that he high-fived all eight of the tarantula’s legs. 😂😂😂

Louie: Best race of my life! I high-fived all eight of its legs afterward.

I found a lost item (a book) on the ground, and I returned it to Apple. She thanked me with a collarless shirt.

The rainy season seems to be here, because it’s been raining almost every day lately. And I’ve had to dig up sooooo many flowers. But at least I caught a coelacanth today.

As I was chopping some wood (and bamboo), my axe broke. And it was apparently my 100th axe broken, because I then learned the DIY recipe for a golden axe!

AH! I...I just came up with a recipe for a golden axe!

I went home and crafted one.

The DIY recipe for a golden axe.

That earned me 2,000 Nook Miles. It is my 4th golden tool, and I just have two more to go!

Four of six golden tools crafted.

I’m hoping to earn the other two, the net and rod, by next month when the full slate of summer bugs will be available.

I posted a new video today, Animal Crossing Quick Comparisons #3. It’s a short video that presents various comparisons in rapid-fire succession, so I hope you’ll give it a quick watch. 🙂

See you next time! Never Stop Crossing!

Goth Skeleton

Label was in town yesterday, and she wanted to see me wearing a goth outfit. So I put on a bone costume and skeleton hood. She loved the look, and she gave me some Labelle sunglasses.

Label: Amazing! I've never seen an outfit so perfectly coordinated!
It’s from the Labonne line.

Agent S was also at the plaza, and she asked me for a new catchphrase to replace “up a tree.” I told her to say “in Miitopia,” since I have her as a member of my party in Miitopia.

Agent S: So, here we go... In Miitopia!

Today, Saharah was in town and I caught up with her in the rain tonight. I bought one of everything from her, except for the small rug. I ended up with a mortar wall, red argyle rug, paintball wall, dig-site flooring, and yellow vinyl sheet. In other words, nothing I wanted to keep.

Saharah: Now please I will accept the money-payment. Yes, thank you.

I caught a hammerhead shark, goliath beetle, arapaima, and dorado the past couple days. So it’s nice to see big, valuable fish and bugs in the wild again. 🙂

There will not be a Friday Night Forest this week. But I’m hoping to have it next week (June 11th). See you next time!
