Nuptial Items

Yesterday, Jolly Redd was in town. He had a real wistful painting, a common painting I wasn’t sure about, a beautiful statue I wasn’t sure about, and a detailed painting I wasn’t sure about. Since I already have the wistful painting in the museum, that left three unknowns for me to choose from! However, the common painting was the only one I haven’t seen before. So I figured maybe that one is always real? That’s the one I bought.

I later found Wisp in town as well. I gathered up his spirits, and he gave me a rattan waste bin for returning them.

Today is June 1st, and it marks the start of wedding season. You can now (once again) go to Photopia on Harvey’s island to take some wedding photos of Reese and Cyrus. I was not a fan of the event last year (especially after doing it repeatedly to unlock all of the items), so I’m in no rush to do it again.

Nook Shopping has a new selection of seasonal items that can be ordered. The handmade crown, handmade cape, and Thank-you Dad mug are returning from last year. The rest of the items are new for 2021, including the Thank-you Dad apron, nuptial bell, nuptial ring pillow, nuptial doorplate, and flower-petal basket.

Nuptial bell: 4,500 bells.
The bell is my favorite of the bunch; it really looks nice.

I received my common painting in the mail from Jolly Redd, and I was glad to hear that it was a genuine painting. It now sits in my museum.

I found a lost book on the ground, and I asked Tia about it. She said that it wasn’t hers, but she suggested that it may belong to Midge.

Tia: Come to think of it, I did hear Midge was looking for a lost item, in my tea...
Oh, but this book was on the ground outside, not in your tea.

So I took it over to Midge (during a thunderstorm), and she rewarded me with a tunic tank.

Midge: Thanks so much. Can I give you a gift to show my appreciation?

See you all next time!

One Month Photo

Eloise was crafting in her house today, and she gave me a DIY recipe for a bamboo stool. To my surprise, it was one that I didn’t have already. Even though I knew I was missing out on snooty reactions for most of my first year with the game, I was also missing out on snooty DIY recipes!

I then wrapped up a cool windflower wreath I crafted and gave it to Eloise. I was shocked when she gave me her photo in return!

Eloise: How can I thank you... Ah! Why don't you take this reward of Eloise's photo?

She has only lived in town for one month (to the day), so this is very quick to be earning her photo! I thought I got Apollo’s photo quick (7 weeks), but this is even faster. Wow, I think I just got lucky this time. 😛

Anyway, I put it in my house (but not on the wall just yet, since I’d have to rearrange them all). Her favorite quote is “An elephant never forgets.”

Looking at Eloise's photo.

When I ran into Bones, he wanted to move out of town! He literally just moved out of my ACCF town yesterday, so there is no way I’m letting this Bones go anytime soon.

Bones: Huh? You want me to stay? Well, spicy chocolate pie! I had no idea!
Spicy chocolate pie?

I visited Tybalt, and he was sleeping standing up…while holding a can of orange soda! Now that is hard to do! 😛

That’s all for now. Have a great Memorial Day tomorrow, for those in (or from) the U.S.! I’ll see you all next time.

Self-Massaging Tiger

Yesterday, I found Gulliver washed up on the beach. I grabbed my shovel and dug up the five pieces of his communicator for him.

I found a lazy villager’s lost book on the ground, and I returned it to Bones. It was his diary, and he gave me an apron for returning it.

Bones: Whoa! It's my diary! I thought it was gone for good!

I updated my dream in the afternoon, so it’s nice and sunny now if you’d like to visit. Fair warning, though: It may be the last time I update the dream with the Mario obstacle course intact.

Today, I received my thank-you letter in the mail from Gulliver. He sent me another hula doll, and this one is red. I placed it near the blue one just outside of the Super Mario Sunshine area.

Two hula dolls on the beach.

Tybalt was talking about he loves massages to ease his sore muscles. But since he’s trained to give massages, he can massage himself!

Tybalt: You know what I mean! And in my case, I'm trained in massage, so I can just give myself one.

He must be really flexible!

Tybalt: It's like I'm training for the massage, and I'm massaging for the training!

K.K. Slider was at the plaza, so I took the time to enjoy his show. He performed K.K. Disco for me, Apollo, Apple, and Midge.

After the show, I earned 2,000 Nook Miles for attending my 60th show.

See you next time!
