20 Million Bells

Yesterday, I received my robust statue in the mail from Jolly Redd…but it turned out to be a counterfeit. What a bust!

I checked Nook Shopping and saw some new seasonal items for sale. There’s a forsythia for a Korean event called Singmogil, and three prom-related items: a prom sash, prom wall, and prom flooring. At least the sash comes in different colors, so check each day for a different variation.

Forsythia: 1,000 bells. Prom sash: 3,500 bells. Prom wall: 3,000 bells. Prom flooring: 3,000 bells.

I was a bit surprised to find Gulliver washed up on the beach; I don’t recall getting both Gullivarrr and Gulliver in the same week before. But I gladly helped him out and dug up the five pieces of his communicator for him.

Celeste was also in town, and she taught me a DIY recipe for a cosmos wand.

Bones was sitting on a bench at the amusement park, and he asked me to join him. So I sat down and took some photos, as shooting stars were flying by overhead.

Tia was thinking about moving out of town, but I convinced her to stay.

When I put some money into my bank account, my balance reached 20 million bells.

Savings Balance: 20,000,000 bells.

Today, I received my reward from Gulliver in the mail. He sent me this coin headpiece…which comes attached to a wig.

Trying on the coin headpiece.
I couldn’t wait to change out of it.

K.K. Slider was in town, and he performed K.K. Ragtime. It’s the song that starts out with him seemingly saying “Knock me up, knock me up.” 😛 Midge, Apollo, Louie, and Apple were also there to enjoy the show.

Tia was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for her. Get well soon, Tia!

I plan on (finally) uploading my first annual slideshow of New Horizons screenshots tomorrow. Check my channel to see my latest videos.

Seeing Pink

April has arrived, and it’s now cherry blossom season. Many trees around town are now pink; it’s a very pretty time of year.

Pink trees and a pretty sunset.

You can also catch cherry blossom petals for crafting.

This cherry-blossom petal is so lovely! Pink is really its color!

I actually need quite a few of the DIY recipes still, because I didn’t get them all last year. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any of those recipes today either…even though I shot down several balloon presents.

I received my latest reward from Gullivarrr in the mail, and he sent me a sea captain’s coat. It’s obviously not as cool as the pirate-ship cannon he sent me five days ago, but they can’t all be winners.

Jeff tries on the sea captain's coat from Gullivarrr (pirate Gulliver).

Nook’s Cranny was selling some Bunny Day candy today, so I bought some. It’s too bad we can’t actually eat it.

Jolly Redd was today’s island visitor, so I checked out his art for sale. He had a real jolly painting, a fake famous painting, a fake mystic statue, and a robust statue that I wasn’t sure about. I already had the jolly painting in the museum, so I bought the robust statue.

After making my rounds, I returned home to do some crafting. I made a bunch of stuff that I’ve never crafted for one reason or another. That included most of the zodiac furniture, as well as some more recent recipes, like the space shuttle (which I added to my space room upstairs) and the shamrock wand. I just wish there was a tab for uncrafted items, so I didn’t have to search through everything for items without check marks. ✔️✔️✔️

After I was done, I ran into Rizzo outside. He already seems to be getting sick of the eggs everywhere. I can’t blame him.

Rizzo: What's the world coming to when you start gettin' eggs out of rocks, I'm a rat? I swear...

You know it must be April Fools Day when even Rizzo is making sense. 😛

See you all next time!

Bunny Topiary

Yesterday, Hornsby commented about the face on my shirt. It was actually a frog face, since I was wearing a frog tee. He liked the shirt, but he said a Hornsby-faced shirt would be even better. 😛

Hornsby: That face on your shirt is neat, but you know what'd be even neater? A me-faced shirt, schnozzle! Yeah!

I bought an imperial dining lantern at Nook’s Cranny, and I gave it to Apollo as a gift. I thoroughly enjoyed the shocked look on his face. 😀

Apollo: An imperial dining lantern?!

Wisp was up on Rainbow Road, and I collected (and returned) his spirits, in exchange for a cute yellow wall. Flick was also in town, and I sold him seven bugs (mostly emperor butterflies) for about 40k.

Today, Rizzo sent me an item that he found in his closet. He said it reminds him of me; it’s a veiled gardening hat.

The veiled gardening hat in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Very funny, Rizzo.

Gullivarrr was washed up on the beach, and I woke him up from his deep sea slumber. It’s only been five days since his last appearance! I was thinking Gullivarrr and Gulliver alternated weeks, but that’s not always the case.

Gullivarrr: Arrr! Guess ye could say I'm...all washed up! A wash-up, I tells ye!

I went diving for his communicator, and I found it on my 2nd attempt. He will send me a reward in the mail.

Nook’s Cranny has continued to have a new Bunny Day item in stock each day, and I particularly liked the Bunny Day topiary they had today.

Tommy: Seems like you're interested in a Bunny Day topiary.

It really just makes me miss the other topiaries that New Leaf had. I hope they come back at some point!

At the amusement park, I saw Tia walking into the dead end behind the arcade games!

Tia starts walking behind my arcade games.

She said she forgot to each lunch, but she’s sure not going to find any snacks back there!

Sorry, but no Friday Night Forest this week.
