The Evil Has Returned

Yesterday, I received my whoopee cushion in the mail. I tested it out, and it makes several different farty noises, not just the old froggy chair fart sound. By the way, I checked the catalog again, and they have different colors available each day. I also received a pirate-ship cannon in the mail from Gullivarrr. Very cool!

I completed a T-Rex fossil (well, aside from the one already in the museum), and I put it near my Mario obstacle course. It’s just outside of the Super Mario Odyssey area, since that game has a level where you can take control of a T-Rex.

At the plaza, I joined Apollo, Bones, and Tybalt for K.K. Slider’s show. He performed K.K. Salsa for the four of us. The song sounds better live than it does in aircheck form.

Today, I found a freakish, insane rabbit hopping around near my house! That’s right, the evil Zipper T. Bunny has returned!

Zipper: I'll say a warm hello!
How about a warm goodbye?

He told me to search for the six types of eggs found around town, and he gave me ten water eggs to get me started. Bunny Day is coming up next Sunday, so we’ll have to put up with all these eggs until then.

But I didn’t want this hideous, unnatural beast in my town! So there was only one solution. Thanks, Gullivarrr!

Kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit…

On a brighter note, I took advantage of today’s rain by catching myself a coelacanth. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of these!

I spent some time diving to try to find a deep sea egg, until I realized that New Horizons doesn’t have deep sea eggs. Oops. 😛 But even once I found all six types of eggs, Zipper didn’t acknowledge that fact. But Nook’s Cranny did have a Bunny Day planter box for sale.

Tommy: Seems like you're interested in a Bunny Day planter box.

Hornsby asked if he should move out of town, and I told him no. He’s going to be sticking around for quite a while.

Wisp appeared in town tonight, and he was hanging out on the Mario obstacle course!

Wisp: N-N-NOOOOOOOOOO!

After I caught and returned the five pieces of his spirit, he rewarded with a folding floor lamp.

By the way, I finally uploaded my Annniversary Party video today. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet!

Good luck with Zipper T. Bunny, everyone! See you next time!

Louie’s Birthday 2021

Today is Louie’s birthday, so I crafted him a barbell for his birthday present. I also customized it with the “colorful” options that looks a bit gold-ish, so maybe it will remind Louie of his precious golden bananas. 😉

A customized, colorful barbell.

I then headed over to Louie’s house for the party, and I also found Apollo there. Louie really seemed to enjoy the gift, and Apollo was gleefully strutting around.

Louie: I'll take good care of your present. Thank you, oh banana.

Louie is the first character to celebrate a 2nd birthday in Forest. One year ago today, he celebrated with Shari. That was also the first day I visited my northern beach and the first day I shot down a balloon present. A lot has changed in one year!

Gullivarrr was washed up on the beach, so I went diving to find his communicator. I found it on my third try, and Gullivarrr will send my reward in the mail.

Gullivarrr: Be quick about it, or I'll buckle your swashes for good! So says Captain Gullivarrr! ARRR! Winky face, send.

With April Fools’ Day coming up soon, a whoopee cushion is now available as a seasonal item. I hope you enjoy it; it’s a gas! 😉

Whoopee cushion: 400 bells.
Only 400 bells? That’s cheap.

Have a good weekend, everyone!

5,000th Bug

I caught this yellow butterfly today, and it sure didn’t look like anything special…

I caught a yellow butterfly! Shouldn't all BUTTERflies be yellow?

But in fact, it was my 5,000th bug caught. So that earned me 3,000 Nook Miles, and I’ve now completed the “You’ve Got the Bug” achievements.

You've Got the Bug

This also means I can probably put away my rotten turnip to draw ants, and I can stop catching every bug I see. 😛

When I visited Apple, she complimented me on my frog tee. She said I look so active, so physical, so tired, and…so sweaty? Does it make me look like I’m about to croak or something?

Apple: You look ready to MOVE! So active! So physical! So sweaty. So tired...

Louie said he was watching me swing my net a lot yesterday, and he wants to introduce me to some friends of his. He said they’re a network for net work.

Louie: We're kind of a network for net work.

Celeste was in town, and she taught me a DIY recipe for a space shuttle!

SWEET! I learned a DIY recipe for a space shuttle!

At the obstacle course, I’ve made some minor cosmetic changes to the dungeon and galaxy areas. Now that I have more design slots available, I made half-space versions of the ground tiles there. That allows the dungeon and space patterns to go all the way up to the fence. Here’s the before and after pics of the Galaxy area.

The space pattern, before and after changes.

Louie’s birthday is tomorrow, so I’ll be back with another entry then. But there’s no Friday Night Forest this week.
