Better Call Sell

It was raining in town yesterday, and Chief was being a bit poetic about the wet stuff.

Chief: Rain tonight... Rain rain rain. My soul! It cries the tears of a million storms!

Of course he got mad at me for “not letting him express any emotion,” which I didn’t do at all. But that’s Chief for you. (And Wild World crankies in general.)

Meanwhile, Derwin was reminiscing about the town he grew up in. He said it had a train stop, and there was a monkey who worked at the train station. He’s clearly referring to Porter, in a nice throwback to the GameCube game. 🐒

Derwin: And there was the coolest monkey who worked at the station, derrrr!

A new “Talking to Myself” message posted to the bulletin board gave a recipe for homemade water! 😆

-Talking to Myself- I filled an empty water bottle with ordinary tap water and... PRESTO! Homemade water!

I played again tonight, and it was still raining! ⛈️

It was Flea Market day, but I wasn’t planning on buying anything. But when I saw Pippy’s Nintendo bench, I was curious to see how much it would cost. It’s already a very cheap item to begin with, and it’s one that I’ll often buy to give as a gift. As it turns out, Pippy was selling it for just 30 bells!

Pippy: I call sell you my Nintendo bench for only 30 bells!
Typo alert! Better call sell. 😉

So of course I bought it, and I’ll probably regift it once again at some point.

Maple has been sick with a cold this week, so I gave her some medicine yesterday and today. Get well soon, Maple!

Maple: I feel better! I... I can feel my toes again! Thank you SO much!

Down at the Roost, Mr. K.K. Slider performed “Mr. K.K.” for me. Is it an autobiographical song? If only I could understand the lyrics…

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Mr. K.K.!
