Working at the Cafe

I finally got a haircut that I liked at Shampoodle.

My new haircut. For those of you wondering about the hair guide I’m working on, I made a second character for my haircut tests and I hope to have the guide done over the weekend.

And in Super T&T, I got what I’ve been waiting for: A Metroid!

Tommy: Ah, congratulations! The prize for Number 47 is great--a Metroid! Now I think I’m done buying fortune cookies for the time being. I have everything I want, so I’m going to start spending all my play coins on the 3DS puzzle swap instead.

And today, I started working my job at the cafe!

Brewster: ...All right. You have to make the coffee exactly as the customer asks. Coo...Wearing my cafe uniform and working at the Roost on my first day on the job.The customers come in and place their orders. They’ll tell you how they want their coffee.

Benedict: Coffee, please! With just a little milk! But it’s not as easy as it sounds! You have to choose the type of beans, how much milk, and how much sugar to put. But the customers will only specify one of those things! There doesn’t seem to be any way of knowing the correct way to make it! Maybe you have to just keep guessing at it each day until you accidentally get it right? Needless to say, my first day didn’t go so well.

Animated GIF showing Benedict, Kapp'n, Fuchsia, and Rory all disappointed by their coffee I made them. When I was done with my four customers, Brewster paid me…in coffee beans.

Brewster: ...All right. Today I'm paying you in normal coffee beans. They're OK, but not the best. Coo.I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with them. Oh well.

Anyway, I figured it was time to re-draw my cut-out standee. I still used a stick figure, but this time I gave it a hangman theme. I guess Villager didn’t do so well at Smash Bros. after all.

My Villager hangman face-cutout standee design.Phineas was in town today, and he gave me the Insect Maniac badge for catching a lot of bugs.

I got the Insect Maniac badge! It's proof I've caught many different kinds of bugs! And speaking of bugs, I saw a violin beetle on my tree stump. I caught it and donated it to the museum.

After a trip to town hall, I attended the ceremony for my brand new fountain! It looks great!

The completion ceremony for my fountain PWP!In the mail today, I got a letter from Gulliver that he sent from Greece. He sent me a pair of gladiator sandals, oddly enough. I was expecting furniture, but that’s okay. They didn’t look very good on me, so I put them on display in my Gulliver exhibit at the museum.

The gladiator sandals I got from Gulliver, as seen in my museum exhibit.I then took a peach over to Shrunk at Club LOL. He taught me the “thought” emotion.

Shrunk: Prepare to see emotion in motion! You shall now see dots appear in the very air!And I’m going to pass along a tip I got from sweetpeacrossing on Tumblr. There IS a way to take a screenshot of your town map after all! You have to go into town hall and tell Isabelle you want to demolish a town project. (You may have to wait until your current project is done before you have this option). She will ask which project to demolish, but of course you don’t want to select anything. But while you’re on this screen, the map will be displayed on the top, which allows you take a picture! So press L and R to take the picture, and then cancel out of the demolition screen. And with that said, here is a current picture of my town:

The town map of Forest as of June 20th, 2013.Today marks my 50th day with Animal Crossing New Leaf, and it’s also my 50th day blogging about my life in Forest. I haven’t missed a day yet! I hope you’ll keep coming back every day for more! Have a great day, everyone!
