Cheating Tiger

Big Top sent me a letter today, thanking me for visiting his house yesterday. He attached a metronome to the letter.

Tabby asked me for a new catchphrase, so I had her say “do I smell?”

Tabby: Hmm? What's up, do I smell?Aurora was walking away, so that should have been Tabby’s first clue that the answer was yes.

There was a new camper over at the campsite, Bianca the white tiger. She seemed okay, but I wasn’t planning on asking her to move in. I did play a game with her, though. It was the game where you get offered five items, and if you pass on the first four, you are forced to buy the fifth item no matter what.

Bianca: I'll list off the name of each piece, along with its price. If we come to an item you want, just shout out!I was planning on buying the first item that cost less than 1,000 bells, like I do on GameCube. But that strategy would backfire on me in New Leaf, because all of her items were in the 3,000+ bell range. I was stuck buying the last item, a space shuttle, for 4,652 bells. Ouch.

Bianca: You're now the proud ownder of a space shuttle... for 4,652 bells! Not a bad deal! After that, I left her tent and continued my walk. I found a gem rock today, so that was a nice, colorful surprise.

Eight colorful pieces of ore from today's gem rock. That gave me two gold nuggets, and I got a third from the fake rock. So I took the three of them to Cyrus at Re-Tail, so they could be turned into a piece of golden furniture.

But then I started thinking about Bianca again. It’s been over a month since a new villager moved into town. And I know Rolf would love to have a girlfriend…so I returned to the campsite to try to convince Bianca to move in. She wanted to play a game where she would buy an item of mine and then let me choose a card to determine the price.

Bianca: I've got 4 cards in 4 different colors with 4 different prices on 'em! All you have to do is pick 1!I had seven perfect peaches in my pockets. She said the price would determine what she would pay for one. Even though I didn’t take a picture, she specifically said one. So I picked a card, and it only said 235 bells. Ouch, losing a perfect peach for only 235 bells is not a good trade. But it’s much worse than that. She took the entire basket of seven perfect peaches! For a TOTAL of 235 bells! Wow, what a rip-off! I officially hate Bianca now, and there’s no way she’s moving into Forest. I should send Tabby in there to play some games with her.

Anyway, I returned to Re-Tail to pick up my golden furniture. Cyrus gave me a golden closet. I already had a golden closet. So I put it up for sale in Re-Tail. If any of my Wi-Fi visitors wants to buy it the next time you’re in town, feel free.

Reese: All right then, I'll stick a price tag of 15,000 bells on this item.Well, this was a pretty disappointing day in Forest. But tomorrow is my Wi-Fi night, so it should be a better day. I’ll be back with another update late tomorrow night!
