The first snow of the season fell in Forest today!!
Not only does it look nice, but it gives me a break from watering flowers. And it signals the end of the dry autumn season. But I’m not the only one in town who was glad to see it; Teddy was also pretty pumped about the snow.
While making my rounds, I ran into Rolf. He invited himself over to my house.
But once we got there, he wasn’t very flattering. He called my house a mess.
After he eventually left, Big Top invited me over to his house! What’s with all these house visits lately?
I soon made my way up to Main Street. Luna told me that Jeff from Tokyo was my most recent dream visitor. And T&T Emporium had Spring Blossoms for sale. It’s a song I needed for my music player, so I bought it.
My (human) friend Skye asked me what my turnip prices were. After I told her Re-Tail was buying them for 134 bells each, she asked me to open my gate so she could sell hers.
After she was done, we made a quick trip out to the island. I needed to catch a butterfly for Teddy, and it was too late to catch one on the mainland. So I caught an emperor, and then we went on an easy balloon-popping tour. We scored 116 points and earned gold Tortimer awards.
We returned to Forest and I ended the party. Later, I took the butterfly to Teddy. His reward for me was pretty lame (wallpaper), but he made a funny comment about his frostbite getting frostbite. You’d think a big bear like Teddy wouldn’t be so bothered by the first few snowflakes of the season. Winter has a long way to go, buddy.

At the event plaza, I happened to look up at my town tree…and it’s bare! Yikes!
I found a lost item (a mitten) down on the beach, and I began asking my villagers if it belonged to them. I was hoping it belonged to someone I still needed a villager pic from. But those hopes were dashed when Molly said it was hers. She rewarded me with a pink velvet stool. Just what I always wanted.
If you’re wondering why I was hoping for emeralds when I mentioned the gem rock, it’s because I’m in the process of customizing modern furniture with them. I originally kept the items in my back room, but today I got rid of my spooky set in my main room and started putting the emerald modern stuff in here. It’s not finished yet, but this should give you an idea of what it will look like:
I decided to take a trip out to the island again tonight, and I went on a hide-and-seek tour. As soon as I began, I immediately found Jambette! That face is hard to miss.
I found all four animals with 3:33 remaining and scored a gold Tortimer award and nine medals.
I then did some fishing, bug-catching, and diving before returning to the mainland. After selling my catches, I shook a tree and a bee came out! I’m usually pretty good at catching the bees in New Leaf (unlike other Animal Crossing games), but the bee stung me this time.
I’m pleased to see my metal bench is getting a lot of use. This evening, I saw Molly and Big Top both sitting on it. Big Top was sitting there asleep, however.
Molly told me she was enjoying the changing colors of the fall leaves.
I woke Big Top up, and he caught me! He asked if I was watching him sleep! Oops!
I then heard a balloon present flying overhead. I got my slingshot out and shot it down as Skye looked on.
After that, I worked a shift at the cafe and went around town to water my flowers. Saharah was in town, so I agreed to let her make over my house. She followed me as we made our way to my house. But on the way, I passed by the bench again. This time, Kidd was using it and he asked me to join him.
So I sat down next to him for a while. Impatient Saharah had no choice but to stand and wait for me.
Once I got to my house, Saharah kicked me out so she could do her work. When she was finished, I went inside to see how it looked. But before I could get a good look at it, Rolf barged in!
While he was still over, I took this picture of Saharah’s work. She installed a lovely wall and a concrete floor. Ew.
Rolf joked that he couldn’t find any incriminating evidence during his visit. Good thing he didn’t look in the wheat.
After he left, I went over to town hall to change my town tune. I’ve been using The Final Countdown as my town tune for just about forever, so I was due for a change. And even though I’m not a huge fan of Christmas stuff when it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, I changed my town tune to Deck the Halls. Here are the notes if you’re interested in using it:
I then went up to Main Street for my shopping run. I ordered several pieces of modern furniture from the Happy Homes Showcase, so that I can start replacing my spooky furniture in my main room. And after depositing some money into my bank account, my balance reached 2,000,000 bells for the first time.
And finally, I finished up my day with a quick trip to the island. I went on a dragonfly tour, where I caught 12 dragonflies in five minutes for a gold Tortimer award and six medals.
