Pole-Vaulting Octopus

On Thursday, I found a lost item (a glove) on my central bridge. I later returned it to Inkwell, who said it was his pole-vaulting glove! I’ve never seen him pole-vault before, but he is a sucker for track-and-field events! 😆

Inkwell: Oh, yeah! My pole-vaulting glove!

He knew it was his because it was still damp from his hand sweat! I didn’t even know he had hands! 😉

Inkwell: Feels a bit damp from hand sweat... Yup, it's mine all right!

The concept of a pole-vaulting animal would make more sense in New Horizons, since it has the vaulting pole to cross rivers. (Even though animals don’t use one.) But Inkwell thanked me for returning his glove, and he gave me a bunny tee. I decided to put it on right away.

Trying on my new bunny tee that Inkwell gave me in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

I spotted a balloon present flying overhead, so I got my slingshot out and shot down the balloon. There was only a balloon TV inside, but I liked this screenshot with my statue fountain in the background.

A balloon present falls after being shot down.

On Friday, Tutu the bear was camping at the campsite. She seemed nice, but I was not interested in asking her to move in.

Tutu: Hi there! I'm just visiting your cute little town. You know, camping and all.

Rolf asked me to deliver a gift to Molly, and I agreed to help out. Even though it took me a minute to find Molly, once I did, she was right back near Rolf!

Molly: Really? A package for me was delivered to Rolf's house?

The gift was actually a danger shirt that Molly was giving me.

Today, Hornsby asked me for some new furniture to replace his grapefruit table. I gave him the sapling clock that Isabelle gave me earlier this month for my town’s anniversary.

Hornsby: Oh! A sapling clock!

He rewarded me with a cabin rug.

When I went to see Aurora, I saw that Jeremiah was also visiting. She said the last time she had so many people at her house, they played Go Fish.

Aurora: Last time I had this many people at my house, we played a rousing game of go fish. It was intense!

Lolly asked me for a river fish, and she was still standing nearby when I caught her a bluegill.

I caught a bluegill! There's a lot in this ville! 8.80 in.

She rewarded me with a purple tie-dye tank.

When I went up to Main Street, Boots seemed confused. He couldn’t remember where the shop was!

Boots: Oops... Where was the shop I wanted to go to?

After I came back into town, Lolly asked if I was interested in a tuk-tuk!

Lolly: Hey, cupcake... Can I interest you in a tuk-tuk?

She said it was an impulse buy that she’s not using. Except that the tuk-tuk is a Gulliver item, so I don’t know how she would have bought it!

Lolly: Mine was an impulse buy, and I'm not really using it. I hate to see it sitting there untouched.

She wanted 1,440 bells for it, and I decided to be nice and buy it from her.
