SpotPass Home: Helene From Kebec

After checking my mail today (“Mom” sent me a perfect orange), I went up to the Happy Homes Showcase to check out a StreetPass home I got. But there was also a new SpotPass house there, belonging to Helene from Kebec.

Helene: I'm Helene from Kebec. My home is over at East 12. La vie est belle! Her house was really nice, but what really jumped out at me was one of her badges. She has the gold StreetPass badge, which means she’s StreetPassed over 1,000 New Leaf players already! How is that even possible? That’s mind-boggling to me.

The SpotPass home of Helene from Kebec. When I returned to my town, I spotted Saharah. I paid her for new wallpaper and carpet, and she installed an ancient wall and a sidewalk. It’s an odd combination, but I do like the ancient wall. I put it into storage for future use, but I decided I would sell the sidewalk (even though it looks nice too).

The sidewalk and ancient wall in my house. As soon as I put my previous wallpaper and carpet back up, Molly barged in.

Molly barges into my house uninvited. She brought me a lemon to eat. Uh…thanks?

Molly: Oh, of course! I brought you a lemon. I hope it tastes as good as it looks.Once she left, I saw Teddy outside. He was flapping his arms like a chicken! Apparently he was mad for some reason, but he didn’t want to talk about it.

Teddy: Leave me alone! I'm in a bad mood right now! After I was done watering my flowers, I headed up to Main Street. Luna told me that Kitten from Milani was my most recent dream visitor.

And at the Emporium, the Nooklings had a Jingle sofa for sale. Apparently the Jingle set will be sold at the store throughout December, just like the harvest furniture was sold in November and the spooky set was sold in October.

Timmy: Ah, a Jingle sofa! A fine item, yes?The Able Sisters also got into the Christmas spirit by selling this Santa hat. Yes, it is called a Santa hat and not a festive hat in New Leaf.

Labelle: The Santa hat? Ooh, good choice!I bought the Santa hat and returned to my town. Two of animals told me what they want for Toy Day. Teddy told me he wanted something purple, and Big Top asked for wallpaper. I’m keeping notes of all these clues, because I’m sure they’ll come in handy when Toy Day arrives.

Big Top: Anyway, between you and me, I asked Jingle for some wallpaper this year. When I saw Teddy again, he pinged me and suggested a new public works project: a torch!

Teddy: We need a torch in Forest. This is what it looks like:

Torch: 29,800 bells.I’m hoping someone will suggest an illuminated tree sometime soon. It resembles an outdoor Christmas tree, so it would be perfect for this time of year.

Tree Stump Chair DLC

Today is December 1st, and the new month brings some changes. There are new fish to catch, the mushrooms stop appearing, harvest furniture is no longer sold, and there’s a new DLC. I stopped at the post office to ask for the new item and Pelly gave me this new tree stump chair. It can be ordered from the catalog, which is always a good thing.

Tree stump chair: 4,480 bells. And villagers may mention the upcoming Toy Day, along with a clue as to what they want. Aurora told me that she wanted something black for Christmas. Alright. Coal it is!

Aurora: I've given it a lot of thought. For this year's Toy Day, I'd really like something black.December also brings new inventory for GracieGrace up on the third floor of T&T Emporium. Gracie now has gorgeous furniture for sale. This is the only furniture set of Gracie’s that I actually like. But still, it’s hard to justify the cost. This gorgeous bed was 300,000 bells.

Gracie: A gorgeous bed? You have exquisite taste, darling! At the cafe, Kabuki (an out-of-towner) came in for some coffee. Kabuki is one cool cat.

Kabuki: Ohh, come to daddy...My campsite was occupied once again today, this time with Elmer the horse. My town is already full with ten villagers, so Elmer had no chance of sticking around.

Elmer: The air in this town smells delicious! But speaking of villagers sticking around, Kidd told me that he was planning on moving out of town tomorrow! That’s not much of a warning!

Kidd: I'm making my big exit on the 2nd of this month. At least that's the plan, do I smell.I like Kidd, so I asked him to stay. Fortunately, he agreed.

Over by town hall, I spoke with Big Top. For reasons unknown, he was talking about how holes in pants are cool and awesome. Perhaps he split his pants, and he was trying to act like it was done on purpose.

Big Top: Like...holes in pants!I did some fishing and caught two of December’s new fish. I caught a sea butterfly from the ocean and a pond smelt from the river.

I caught a pond smelt! It could sure use a bath!Luna told me that Louise from Paradise was my most recent dream visitor.

And I went to check out my friend Skye’s new town. Her town layout is really unique; her river is located entirely in the right half of town. It’s a pretty cool town, though. And she’s fortunate enough to have Goldie as a villager.

Goldie: Oh! You are...? If you're visiting from Forest...that probably makes you Jeff!

Helping Skye

I got a letter from Gulliver in Sweden today, along with this Dala horse.

The Dala horse that Gulliver sent me.There was a camper at the campsite, and it was Dotty the rabbit. How about some variety? Dotty has already camped out in Forest, just three months ago!

Dotty: I mean, yogurt parfait is usually pretty yummy. But when you're camping, it's SUPER YUMMY.I saw a balloon present (a silver slingshot) flying overhead, about to go over the cliff. I didn’t have time to get my slingshot out, so I just used my net and whacked it down.

A silver slingshot falling from the sky after I hit it with my net.Katrina was in town today, and I paid her to tell my fortune. She said that a black letter jacket was the key to unlocking good fortune.

Katrina prepares to tell my fortune.I met up with Kidd, and he was talking about how the trains traveling from town to town are fourth-generation.

Kidd: Hey, skippy, did you know? That train you see traveling from town to town is fourth generation. He mentioned how the second and third generations were based on the first one, with only minor changes. But the fourth generation is the first one that had a major change in design. I can’t help but think he’s really talking about the Animal Crossing series.

Kidd: It's the first one that's had a major change in design, do I smell. My friend Skye (the human, not the wolf) decided to restart her town. So I agreed to  hold onto her belongings until she picked out a new town.

Skye's many possessions on the ground in my town.Meanwhile, the other Skye asked me for some furniture. I gave her a leftover creepy stone, just because I thought it would be cool for an animal to have a gravestone in their house. I’ll have to visit her soon to make sure she’s displaying it. Anyway, she gave me an antique clock in exchange.

Skye: Oh! A creepy stone is exactly what I needed! And Tabby finally fessed up about what everyone already knew: She’s evil.

Tabby: Wow, I'm evil...! I totally love it, I'm evil!Later on, I went up to Club LOL to get a new song. K.K. performed K.K. Rock for me.

K.K.: It's Jeff! I knew this cat wouldn't miss a show.Skye eventually came back to pick up all her stuff. I may check out her new town tomorrow.
