Today, I had a gem rock for the third day in a row. I was lucky enough to score three gold nuggets, so I took them to Cyrus at Re-Tail. Back outside, I thought I saw Phineas over by the town tree, but it was actually Chip.
The fishing tournament was today, and he told me that any kind of fish will be accepted. The bigger, the better. But I was going to finish making my rounds before I went fishing. Along the way, I spotted new home construction! I’m getting a 10th villager tomorrow, Skye!
I thought a tenth villager had to be a camper or from a StreetPass. But Skye wasn’t a camper, and I haven’t had a StreetPass in almost a month. I suppose it could still be from that StreetPass, but I should know for sure tomorrow.
Many of the animals around town were talking about the fishing tournament. That includes Tabby, who just let a big one slip through her hands.
I got my motherly statue back in the mail from Crazy Redd. And to my surprise, it was real! This is why I always think it’s worth the risk unless you’re 100% sure.
After identifying and selling my fossils, I had earned enough money to fully pay off my house! I was so excited that I took the picture a bit early!
I then returned to Tom Nook. He said I deserved a reward for fully paying off my house. He said I deserve a song. That he sang. To me.
He said it was in the language of his ancestors, which was Raccoonish, naturally.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that’s nice and all. But where’s my real reward? He didn’t mention anything else, which is a bit unnerving. But perhaps he will tell me tomorrow. On GameCube, he would build you a statue near the train station when you fully repaid your loans. And in City Folk, he would add a flagpole to your house. I believe both of them only appeared the day after making your final payment, so hopefully he will have something for me tomorrow.
When I updated my dream town, I saw that Clayton from Lebanon was my most recent dream visitor. Hello, Clayton!
With all my Main Street errands completed, it was time to do some fishing. I caught several sea bass, with my best one measuring in at 36.65 inches. Chip rewarded me with a scoreboard for taking over the top spot.

That score held up, and I won the tournament! Rolf won second place, and Aurora got third place. Tabby was nowhere to be found.
After 8:00, I went up to Club LOL to hear K.K. perform. I asked for a random song, and he played “To the Edge.”
That song almost took me to the edge. I don’t care for it. I then returned home, and saw that I had mail. That’s odd to get mail on a Saturday night. But it was from K.K.! He sent me his picture!
That’s all for tonight, but I’ll be back tomorrow. I’ll see what reward (if any) I got from Tom Nook, I’ll meet my new neighbor Skye, and who knows what else tomorrow will bring. Hope to see you then!
When I returned to my town, Benedict told me that he was going to move out on October 15th. Twice before, I’ve told him to go ahead and move out, only to change his mind later on. But once again, I told him to go ahead and leave. But he said we’re best buds and he knew I didn’t really want him to leave. So he’s staying.
He even said I’m a terrible liar.
Crazy Redd had a tent set up over by the town tree, so I went in to take a look. He had one painting and three statues. I’m fairly sure the painting was the real item. However, it was one that I didn’t need. So I took a chance on this motherly statue. It may be fake, but that’s okay. I don’t mind taking the risk.
At 10:00 tonight, I opened up my gate for Friday Night Forest. Daisy came over, dressed as Luigi. I caught a dace, in her face. So she ate it as sushi.
I also burned Canberra with a leftover sparkler while Daisy was talking to her. After a few minutes, Chris also came over to visit, dressed as a mummy.
Before long, Wendy also came over to visit, so I had a full house. We hung out in my house for a while, and Daisy informed me that the hologram machine can be modified to display a hologram of a man instead of a woman. I have no plans to change it, but that is interesting to know.
When we went back outside, Chris asked if there were any glitches in New Leaf. So we showed him the digging glitch to get onto the train tracks. Unfortunately, he was unable to get back on the tracks. The rest of us all did, though. It made for a sad mummy.
After a while, we headed off to the island. The hide-and-seek tour was available, so we did that three times. As one of the games ended, Daisy cut down the tree Stitches was hiding behind.
After that, we caught some bugs and fish. Well, just bugs for me. And the mummy went swimming. After a little while, we did another hide-and-seek tour to save the game. This time, we failed to find everyone…which is very unusual. Tortimer scolded us.
We then returned to Forest. After selling our catches, I found out that Daisy was doing another glitch. She was in the river!
I asked Daisy if she was able to get out of the water, and she said no. Then she promptly walked up on land and said just kidding. She psyched me out, haha. She did the glitch and returned to the river, though. Once she was done blindly wading in the water, she turned into a bug and we gathered over my zen bell. We looked up at the moon…and made moon puns. We got a little loony.
Around 12:30, I ended the party for the night. I had a good time tonight. 🙂
Aurora was walking away, so that should have been Tabby’s first clue that the answer was yes.
I was planning on buying the first item that cost less than 1,000 bells, like I do on GameCube. But that strategy would backfire on me in New Leaf, because all of her items were in the 3,000+ bell range. I was stuck buying the last item, a space shuttle, for 4,652 bells. Ouch.
After that, I left her tent and continued my walk. I found a gem rock today, so that was a nice, colorful surprise.
That gave me two gold nuggets, and I got a third from the fake rock. So I took the three of them to Cyrus at Re-Tail, so they could be turned into a piece of golden furniture.
I had seven perfect peaches in my pockets. She said the price would determine what she would pay for one. Even though I didn’t take a picture, she specifically said one. So I picked a card, and it only said 235 bells. Ouch, losing a perfect peach for only 235 bells is not a good trade. But it’s much worse than that. She took the entire basket of seven perfect peaches! For a TOTAL of 235 bells! Wow, what a rip-off! I officially hate Bianca now, and there’s no way she’s moving into Forest. I should send Tabby in there to play some games with her.
Well, this was a pretty disappointing day in Forest. But tomorrow is my Wi-Fi night, so it should be a better day. I’ll be back with another update late tomorrow night!
