Unfortunately, Hazel has moved out of Forest. I received her goodbye letter in the mail today.

I also received a gift from Jingle in the mail, which contained the Balloon Fight NES game. He sends the same thing every year, and I decided to play it a bit before selling it this time. So I went inside my messy house and started it up. 😆

I ended up scoring 49,000 points, which beat my previous high-score.

Puck told me about the last time Katrina told his fortune. He said that everyone started being mean to him all of a sudden, and he’s convinced Katrina put a hex on him. He’s probably right. 😛

My jaw dropped when I saw Hazel’s replacement: It’s Savannah the zebra!

Savannah is one of my favorites, but she’s always been elusive. I rarely ever seem to get her in any of my towns! She did move into this town ten years ago (almost to the day), but I didn’t even get to meet her before she moved out! I’m glad she’s here now, though. I just hope she sticks around a while!
Static told me I was looking as awful as ever (thanks a lot, Static), and he gave me a free danger shirt. I guess I was feeling dangerous, so I decided to put it on.

I saw a large fish in the river, so I decided to fish it out. To my surprise, it was a stringfish! I wasn’t even expecting it to be something rare since the shadow wasn’t huge like an arapaima. But I’ll gladly take the 15,000-bell fish! 😁

A mere 20 seconds later, I found the day’s glowing spot and dug up 10,000 bells instead of the usual 1,000. Maybe Static was really onto something by giving me this danger shirt! 😉

Over by the wishing well, Ursala wanted to play a grab bag game with me. I had a chance to win a mint gingham, a pear, or a pitfall. I normally decline the offer (when given a choice), but she only charged 250 bells to play! Usually the price is in the thousands, but it’s definitely worth a risk at this price.

I chose the left bag, and I won a pitfall! Pitfalls aren’t super common on GameCube, so I like having some around for times that I need them. 😛 Good deal! It seems there have been quite a few good, unexpected things that happened today. It must be my lucky day!
I finished making my rounds, sold my stringfish, mailed some fossils away, and then returned home.
Earlier this month, I posted my latest GameCube Moments video. It includes some clips from early December that I didn’t include in the blog. Check it out!
I’ll be back with another entry in January. Happy New Year!
