Another Robin Flies Away

The other day, I got a letter in the mail congratulating me for losing the Bug-Off. They call it the Good Sport Award. Thanks a lot.

The results are in! The Good Sport Award for the September 21st, 2013, Bug-Off goes to Jeff! Keep fighting the good fight! -The Bug-Off CommissionAnd then tonight, I spotted a big shadow in the river as I walked around town. I got my fishing rod out and caught a king salmon.

Whoo hoo! Whoo hoo! I caught a king salmon! As I walked across my southern bridge, I spotted Ribbot up on the cliff. He appeared to be looking up at the stars. Is he waiting for his friends to pick him up perhaps?

Ribbot standing on the cliff at the top of the waterfall, looking up at the stars. Then as I watered flowers, I went into Robin’s house to say hello. And I couldn’t believe what I saw next. Robin had packed her furniture into boxes, and she was ready to move out of town!

Robin: Oh, Dr. J... Didn't I tell you? I'm moving away, I drool. That in itself might not seem shocking. But the weird part is that, just yesterday, Robin also moved out of my GameCube town! I’ve had both Robins for over a year, and they both decide to move out the same week? What are the odds of that??

A bit later, I talked to Avery outside and he was talking about Megan. First, he said she’s a sharp one, and then he called her a real flyswatter. I don’t even know what that means in the context of Animal Crossing.

Avery: Were I to sum her up in one word, I'd say she's a real flyswatter... Yep... Interesting lady.Pinky was talking about her greeting being outdated. For some reason, she didn’t like saying “WORD UP, YO.” I can’t imagine why. 😛 So I told her to keep it.

Pinky: So, like, for example... WORD UP, YO! ...Stuff like that.

Failed Bug-Off

Today was the day of the Bug-Off competition. But by the time I started up the game, there was less than ten minutes to go. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a rare bug in that time, so I had to give Nat a migratory locust.

Nat: Aunt Agatha's doilies! It's been ages since I saw a migratory locust!I lost the competition to Pinky. She won with a 55-point mantis.

Nat: The 55-point mantis caught by Pinky from right here in Forest. With the Bug-Off over, I started my walk around town to water flowers and talk to my neighbors. Lily told me that she tries to see the good in everyone…yet she can find no good in Bob at all! Are you serious??

Lily: But I'm starting to think I can't find anything good about Bob at all... I drool.I took the bus out to the city, and I talked to Blaire while I was there. She told me that someone was laughing hysterically in the theater, and she didn’t understand why. But she said the laugher ran off and boarded a bus to Tropical before she could ask.

Blaire: But before I could ask what was SO funny, that crazy laugher ran out and went back to Tropical...When I returned to Forest, Octavian auditioned for a part in The Little Mermaid.

Octavian: Under the sea... Under the sea! Like that? And when I was done watering flowers, I went to the Roost at the museum. K.K. performed K.K. Cruisin’ for me.

Autumn Moon

Yesterday, Becky gave me a birdcage. Maybe she upgraded to a larger cage and didn’t need her old one any more.

Becky: I've brought the perfect birdcage for you, I drool! And tonight was the night of the harvest moon, or “autumn moon” as it’s known in City Folk. Tortimer was out by town hall, giving out wheat bundles.

Tortimer: I just think the moon looks delicious when it's so big and round...It’s not the most exciting gift, unfortunately.

The wheat bundle as seen in my house.Rowan was telling me that Tortimer seemed all amped up today, tearing it up since this morning.

Rowan: The mayor is looking amped up today... He's been out there tearin' it up since morning! To which I responded: “Him?

I went around town to water my flowers on this cool September night. Of course, I took the time to look up at the harvest moon.
