A Night in the Coffee Shop

Friga was feeling sick tonight, so I bought some medicine for her. It got her happy feet up in the air.

Friga appears upside-down as she flips taking medicine.I went down to the Roost (in the basement of the museum), and I found Fang there. He was enjoying a cup of coffee. Or, infinite cups.

Fang: I got nothing to complain about...as long as the refills keep coming. While in there, I asked K.K. to play a song for me. But oddly, he was acting as if I had already heard a song. I had to choose “Encore!” just to hear a song! Weird. But once I did, he played K.K. Samba for me.

K.K. performs some music in the Roost for me and Fang.Lily asked me for a crucian carp, so I got my rod and went fishing in the river. Five or six catches later, I got a crucian carp and returned it to Lily. She thanked me and gave me an imperial wall as a reward.

Lily: Dearie... That is SO sweet. You caught me one!

Funnel Cake Might Be Perfect

Tonight, Friga asked me what gift she should get for Fang. The choice was obvious: Funnel cake.

Friga: Yes, funnel cake might be perfect. The harvest festival (Thanksgiving) is tomorrow, and Angus is already daydreaming about all the food he plans on eating. I’m not sure if I’ll be participating in the harvest festival in ACCF, but I’ll definitely be partaking inĀ New Leaf.

Angus: Just the thought of hiding from the cold in a hot, tasty fall dish has got me smacking my lips...Up by the Pac-Man Pond, Bunnie was crying because she locked her keys in her house again. She just did the same thingĀ two weeks ago! Silly rabbit, you should know I’m not going to help you out.

Bunnie: What am I gonna doooooo? What am I gonna do, toasty? YOU GOTTA HELP MEEEEEEE!In Genji’s house, I was warned to watch my step because there may be a shoelace on the floor. Is that really a concern? I don’t think stepping on a shoelace is going to be all that painful, especially when I’m wearing shoes.

Genji: Ah, watch your step when you walk through my place, bud! I think I saw a shoelace there.Lily asked me for a new catchphrase, and I told her to say “in a pond.” I then (accidentally) listened in on her conversation with Friga. Lily asked Friga what she wanted for her birthday, and Friga responded that she’d like a vacation to a tropical island. That made Lily upset, since she couldn’t afford to send Friga on vacation. Sorry penguin, you’re getting some socks for your birthday.

Lily: Whoa... What makes you think I can afford any of that?! I was planning on knitting you socks!

Fishing Requests

Chester was talking about how cool fossils are today. I thought he was asking me to find one for him, but apparently it was just a regular conversation.

Chester: Seeing proof of life from hundreds of thousands of years ago is cooler than frozen rice milk.I dug up a pitfall seed, so I decided to use it on the next animal I saw: Ed. He tried to play it off, acting like it was his own strength that caused him to fall into the ground, but he was clearly angry afterwards.

Ed: The weight of my muscles crushed the planet! AWESOME!Friga asked me to catch a bitterling for her, so I started fishing in the river. It didn’t take me long to catch what I was looking for. I took it to Friga, and she rewarded me by giving me a storefront.

Friga: Hmm? No, it CAN'T be! It really is! You brought me a bitterling! My newest neighbor Genji was locked out of his house! I wanted to make a good impression on him, so I returned to the river for some more fishing. After a few minutes, I caught his key!

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?I took it to Genji, and he rewarded me with a sink.

Genji: What?! That key... It's got my name on it! It's like magic! Pinch me...but not on my triceps. They're sore.To my surprise, he actually did go inside his house once he had the key. Sometimes you’ll take an animal their key and they’ll still stand around outside anyway.
