Hide and Peek

I got a letter from Fang in the mail, thanking me for the medicine I took him a few days ago. He sent me a gift along with the letter: a lunar lander. I know wolves like to howl at the moon, but I didn’t know they’ve landed on it too.

When I had a chat with Prince, he told me he’s going to moving out of town soon. I told him to go for it. He says it’s not set in “rock candy” just yet, but I’m certainly not going to change his mind. Soon I’ll be able to call him the Former Villager Known as Prince.

Prince: I mean, it's not set in rock candy yet or anything. And just like in New Leaf today, I was asked by a villager to play some hide-and-seek! Here, it was Bunnie who asked me to play. She gave me 15 minutes to find her, Broccolo, and Angus.

Bunnie: Ahem, ahem! And now we shall begin the playing of hide-and-seek!When I have 15 minutes to play the game, I don’t worry about rushing to find them quickly; I take my time. It wasn’t until I fell into a pitfall seed that I spotted Bunnie.

Me struggling to get out of a pitfall as I see Bunnie leaning to the side from behind a tree. And six minutes later, I found Broccolo behind a tree. But as I was talking to him, I got a pretty good idea where Angus was hiding. When you see it…

Broccolo: Not to be a rat, but you have one of us left to find. So, hurry up and get to it.After speaking with the hiding hamburger, Bunnie congratulated me for winning the game. My prize was a tall strumboid.

Bunnie: Well, winners always get cool stuff, so here! Take my tall strumboid, toasty!I finished up my night at the Roost, where I asked K.K. for a random song. He performed K.K. Love Song, which was the first Animal Crossing song I ever heard when I first started playing the GameCube game. Have a nice night, everyone!

I’m Not Your Grandma!

When I went to visit Fang today, I saw he was still dealing with that cold of his.

Fang: COUGH, HACK, WHEEZE! Ugh...Grandma, is that... you? No...? Oh...nice of you to visit, toasty.
I’m not your grandma!!

I went up to Nook’s to buy him some medicine, and it made him feel warm and tingly inside. Unless he ate three little pigs while I was out at the store.

Fang: Huh? Heeey! I feel all warm and tingly inside! Is this what happiness feels like, toasty?Mallary asked me to make a delivery to Angus for her, and I decided to be nice for a change. The gift turned out to be a kitchen wall, which brought back some memories for Angus. Maybe he narrowly escaped becoming a hamburger at one point?

Angus: A kitchen wall? That takes me back. Mallary's got a memory like an elephant!I returned to Mallary and told her the deed was done. She rewarded me with 552 bells.

Mallary: Oh, your reward! Please accept 552 bells, toasty.I spoke with Lily, and she said she loves the smell of unearthing a fossil…in a pond.

Lily: I love that smell of fresh earth when you dig a new fossil up, in a pond.I continued my walk around town, and I ran into Lily once again five minutes later. She asked for a new greeting, and I told her to say “I’m gonna croak!”

Lily: I'm gonna croak!! Teehee! It has such a happy ring to it, doesn't it, in a pond?

Bunnies Everywhere!

Fang was sick today, so I went up to Nook ‘n’ Go to buy him some medicine. I’ll never understand how sick animals, who act like they’re dying, are able to do backflips when they get their medicine.

Fang does a backflip as he takes some medicine.Bunnie asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek, and she gave me ten minutes to find her, Chrissy, and Prince. Those are three animals that should probably stay hidden.

Bunnie: Um, do we have everyone? OK! Now we're gonna hide, and you have to find us in under 10 minutes!I didn’t realize this until now, but with Chrissy in town, Forest now has three bunnies. They’re multiplying out of control! 😛 I have no interest in turning Forest into a bunny town (like Avenir) though.

Anyway, I began my search. Chrissy was the first one I found, trying to hide behind a palm tree in the southwest corner of town.

Prince: How did you find me?! I was sucking in my belly and everything!Broccolo wasn’t one of the hiders, but I stopped to have a chat with him briefly. He told me he was planning on moving out of town soon! I told him not to go, but he wasn’t sure if he could get out of it or not.

Broccolo: But I'll try asking if there's some way I can stay! With about two and a half minutes remaining in hide-and-seek, I found Bunnie hiding behind Guest’s house. I’m sorry, but she looks a bit creepy peeking her head out like this.

Bunnie leans out from behind Guest's house.Finding her meant I won the game! She gave me my prize, a mega oombloid. I know the prizes usually aren’t anything great, but a gyroid? Something she dug up from the ground? From someone’s grave? Surely you can do better than that.

Bunnie: ...Oh, well! It was still fun! Here's a mega oombloid for your trouble and stuff, toasty.I decided to test out my rusty snowman-making skills, and I think I did pretty good. This guy was happy with his appearance, so he should be sending me some furniture in the mail.

Snowman: I'll be looking fine when I represent Forest in the 2015 Mr. Snowman Snowslam!I later saw Chrissy from across the bridge, and I stopped to wave at her. Too bad I couldn’t use the hand that pops up to push her into the river. 😛
