Marina is Moving

Tonight, Benedict told me that he wanted to be like Tom Nook and open up his own store. But he wasn’t sure what to sell. He suggested maybe garlic bread and cheese.

Benedict: Hmm... Maybe my store could sell box lunches of garlic bread or something, and cheese.
And…chicken perhaps?

My club shirt was starting to get a bit stinky, so I knew I needed to buy some new clothes. Able Sisters had a flame shirt on sale, so I decided to buy it. Interestingly enough, a fireman’s hat was right next to it. Good thing I bought the shirt before the fireman could put it out!

Mabel: That's a flame shirt. Yeah, that item costs just 360 bells.I got a surprise when I went into Marina’s house: She was all packed up and ready to move out of town! I like Marina, so I wish she would have stuck around longer, but that’s how the game works. Especially now that I’m only playing about once a week now, I won’t always get a chance to stop my villagers from moving.

Marina: Well, there's no point in hiding it. You've probably guessed, but I've decided to leave Forest.
I wonder if she’s moving to Inkopolis.

Aurora asked me to catch a red snapper for her, so I headed to the ocean. As I was in the process of catching a fish, I saw Aurora getting mad at Chow in the background (look in the top-right corner of this picture):

Catching a fish.It took me a couple more minutes until I caught a red snapper, and Aurora was over her tantrum by then. Of course, her red-eyed look of surprise is just as frightening!

Aurora: Oh! A red snapper! She was happy to have her very tasty red snapper and she rewarded me by giving me NOTHING a beach chair.

  1. Aww, I really like Marina. She’s my favourite octopus, which is not saying much considering there’s only 3, but I’ll be sad to see her go.

  2. That’s lame that Marina’s leaving. The same thing happened with Marina when she lived in my town — she just randomly left. I was heartbroken when she left because she was so cool!

It seems octopuses never hang around long. Octavian when he lived in my town left really quickly and so did Marina.
