Don’t Be Cranky

Saharah was in town on Tuesday, but she was hanging out on the dead end! She’s not going to find many customers way out here!

Saharah: I came from far away.

She was looking for old wallpaper again, so I started to ask my neighbors. Big Top and Tom were the only ones who helped me out.

Tom: Is this for a school recycling drive or something?

I also grabbed the remaining old wallpaper I had in storage, so I took the three back to Saharah. She took them, and gave me an office wall in exchange.

Big Top was over his cold, and he sent me a kiddie bureau in the mail to thank me for the medicine I gave him last week.

Yesterday, Queenie and Apollo had a bit of an argument at the bus stop. Apollo asked Queenie how long it had been since she cleaned her house, and Queenie got mad that he would even ask such a thing. Apollo added that Queenie should use a broom and live more responsibly. He was being a bit of a jerk, and Queenie called him a grumpy, mean, old geezer. 😂

Queenie: I don't know why I even talk to you! You're just a grumpy and MEAN old geezer! Me-YOWZA!

Maybe I shouldn’t have helped him out, but Apollo later asked me for a fossil. I gave him a dinosaur track that I dug up.

Apollo: Nice work, Jeff! Is this a dinosaur track I see before me, its handle toward my hand?
I don’t think that’s a handle.

In return, he gave me a clothes closet.

Today, Gaston mentioned he was thinking of moving out of town. But I talked him into sticking around.

Gaston: You've convinced me, J-rock. I'll stay on as Forest's crankiest resident a while longer.

And when I visited Apollo, he was really happy about the new fossil I gave him yesterday.

Apollo: Whenever I look at my new fossil, I just can't help smiling, Jeff.

I also like how his two chess knights are almost facing off against each other. ♟

I just now realized that this blog entry is mostly about crankies (Tom, Apollo, and Gaston). Well at least Queenie and Saharah made appearances. 😛

See you all next time.
