Getting Iggly

I had to do a double take tonight when I still saw a house in the spot where Antonio lived. But inside, I found Iggly the penguin instead.

Iggly: WHOA! You must be one of my new Forest neighbors!

He’s alright. Not one of my favorites, but I don’t dislike him either. But I already have Cube, so I don’t really feel like I need another, lesser penguin. Note: He previously lived in Forest back in 2012.

I went over to the Roost and asked K.K. Slider for a random song. He performed “K.K. Reggae” for me. It’s not bad.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Reggae.

Big Top’s catchphrase “in a coma” has been spreading around, as Willow and Apollo have also been using it. So when Willow asked for a new phrase, I jumped at the chance. I told her to say “with yarn” instead. ๐Ÿงถ

Willow: Now I'll get even MORE attention, with yarn!

After doing my usual chores and chatting with everyone, I did some summer bug hunting. The good news is that I earned over 220k on the night. The bad news is that tonight was the only night I played this week. I’ll have to do better in the next few weeks so I can catch those bugs and earn those bells!

Just before wrapping up my game for the night, I checked the recycle bin at town hall. I found a daffodil chair there.

Carpet Monster?

Last night, I received Antonio’s goodbye letter in the mail (as expected).

'Sup, Jeff, It's time for me to bail on Forest and take these biceps on tour! They're just too big for one town. Don't worry, you'll see 'em again! Peace! -Antonio

Cube asked me to deliver a gift to Felicity, and I took it over. But Felicity was somehow scared by the carpeting (a planked tatami), thinking it was…a monster?

Felicity: Eeek! Monster! Oh, wait a second. It's not a monster at all... It's a planked tatami!
You’re an odd one.

When I returned to Cube, he rewarded me with a storage case. I then did some bug hunting, and I made about 110,000 bells on the night.

I played again tonight, and Apollo was sick with a cold. I gave him some medicine, and I snapped a perfectly-timed photo as he flipped. I think this is one of the best mid-flip photos I’ve ever taken. ๐Ÿ˜† (Although this Rolf one from New Leaf is still probably #1 overall.)

Apollo flips as he takes his medicine in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Cube asked to borrow Felicity’s book Guzzle Cappuccino for Health, but Felicity demanded a 3,500 bell rental fee for it. Cube declined, saying it would be cheaper to just buy the book.

Cube: Hey, Felicity, do you have a copy of the book Guzzle Cappuccino for Health, d-d-dude?

I went over to the Roost, and Pecan was there to enjoy some coffee. But she was complaining about how it was getting late and she let the day slip away from her. I can relate to that. ๐Ÿ˜›

Pecan: Wow, is it already 11? I let the day just slip away from me!
Her tail was clipping through the chair. ๐Ÿ˜›

When I asked K.K. for a random song, he performed “K.K. Chorale” for me…and Pecan. It’s actually rare to have another villager in here enjoying the show with me in this game.

K.K. Slider performs for me and Pecan in the Roost.

After wrapping up my usual chores and tasks, I went bug hunting for about 30-35 minutes. In total, I made about 150k in my session tonight. We’re halfway through the peak bug hunting season now. Summer goes fast, doesn’t it?

See you next time.
