Crazy Outdoor Types

The September Bug-Off (the final one of the year) was held today. Unfortunately, I played too late in the day to participate. But Nat was kind enough to tell me that Apollo was the event’s big winner. He used his eagle eyes to catch a 61-point walkingstick. Congrats, Apollo!

Nat: The 61-point walkingstick caught by Apollo from right here in Forest.

When I visited Big Top’s house, I was surprised to see how many fish he had in his house! That included a big…arapaima? I certainly didn’t catch that for him as a favor, but he must’ve bought it from me over the summer. (They do sometimes offer more than Tom Nook for your catches.)

Big Top's house full of fish.

When I ran into Bluebear outside, she said she was wearing “fishing fashion” even though she doesn’t have a fishing rod. She said she can handle fishing, but she’s not going to become of those “crazy outdoor types.” I don’t think fishing makes you crazy, does it? 😛

Bluebear: I can handle fishing, but I'm not about to become one of those crazy outdoor types!
You’re a bear.

It was an odd conversation, if you ask me.

Felicity asked me to deliver an extinguisher to Scoot, and she then rewarded me with 520 bells. I’m not sure why Scoot needed an extinguisher, but I hope his house isn’t on fire! 😛

I went up to the Roost to catch K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked him for a random song, and he performed “Go K.K. Rider!” for me. Good song!

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Go K.K. Rider!.

When I worked my way back around to town hall, I found a fossil in the recycle bin! It was an icthyo torso (not to be confused with an itchy torso). I’m always hoping to find good stuff in the recycling, so it’s nice to occasionally scratch that itch. 😉

Enjoy your weekend, and I’ll be back with another entry next week!
