Tabby Out, Dizzy In

On Wednesday, I was happy to see Tabby. Wait, let me finish. 😛 I was happy to see Tabby all packed up and ready to move out of town! Yay!

Tabby: I know I can be all weird and sensitive and stuff, so it can't be easy being friends with me.
I wouldn’t know. But it’s not easy being your enemy either. It’s a lot of work planting all those pitfalls for you!

And then yesterday, she was officially gone. I got her goodbye letter in the mail.

Like, to Jeff, I totally had to think about it for, like, forever... but I decided to move after all. Sniff! Don't forget me when I'm gone, OK?! -From your BFF, Tabby.

Drift asked me for a new greeting, and of course, I had the 10th anniversary on my mind. So I told him to say “10 years of ACCF.”

Drift: 10 years of ACCF, Boy J! 10 years of ACCF...

Today, I already found a new house in town! Dizzy the elephant was inside. He moved in so fast that it made my head spin. 😛 I like Dizzy though, so it’s good to have him here.

Dizzy: Whew... Unpacking sure is hard work! I think I'm actually breaking a sweat for the first time in years...
Time to unpack your trunk.

At Nook ‘n’ Go, I ordered the one-way tee and cavalier hat. I’ve decided this will be the outfit I wear for my 10th anniversary video.

Ordering the cavalier hat.

I wanted to wear something that was a throwback to the early days of ACCF, and that outfit was something I wore a lot in early 2009. In fact, I was wearing it in the 9th picture I ever took in the game! This is from January 1st, 2009, just 15 minutes after midnight. That’s Ness (aka Bushido) dressed as the baby new year.

I’ve made good progress on the video, even though I haven’t technically recorded it yet. 😛 I’m glad that Tabby won’t be in it, and now with Dizzy moved in, I don’t have to worry about any unexpected move-ins either. I am a bit sad that I have some minor grass wear around town that I won’t have time to heal, but that’s alright. I think it’s going to be a good video. 🙂 Look for it on Friday, November 16th.

Evil Subsides

Halloween is over, and the evil is subsiding. One of my Tabbys, the one in Forest, has decided to move away! Hurray! She got mad that I told her to go ahead and move; she expected me to beg her to stay! Ha!

Tabby: You know, I actually thought you might try to stop me. I guess that was pretty dumb, huh?
Yes.

Midge told me she wished that she could identify fossils herself, but Blathers refused to help her out because it’s an industry secret. This is actually something I’ve been saying I’d like to see in a future Animal Crossing game. Our players should be able to automatically distinguish a dinosaur egg from a T-rex skull, for example. 😛

Midge: The one thing I wish I could do is identify fossils on my own.

Now that November is here, that means it’s mushroom season. You can find various mushrooms near trees around town.

Jeff finds a mushroom near a cedar tree.

And of course, one of them each day will be mush furniture in disguise.

I thought it was just a mushroom, but it was really a mush closet!

Speaking of mushrooms, here is the latest video from my 2nd town of Mushroom. It’s Mario Plays ACCF #11. This time, Mario participates in the Halloween festivities.

Even though I’ve been posting a new Mario Plays ACCF video every Friday for the past 11 weeks, I’m going to be taking a short break now. That’s mainly because I need to complete my 10th anniversary ACCF video; the anniversary is only two weeks away!

This also means that I’ll be playing more often in Forest the next couple weeks, but I’m not sure if there will be bonus blog entries or not. But I am glad that Tabby won’t have to be part of my anniversary video. See you next week!

Tabby Times Two

While talking to Midge about hobbies tonight, she informed that she was going to start growing vegetables…in her nest! Sounds like an odd place for a garden.

Midge: Speaking of hobbies, I think I'll spend today growing vegetables, in my nest.

Kitty spent her night drinking alone in the Roost. Uh, drinking coffee, that is. Supposedly. 😛 She sure looked depressed, though.

Kitty: This town is always abuzz on the weekend.

K.K. Slider was also there, and he performed Comrade K.K. for me.

I ran into my old buddy Rolf in the city, and he said that the Happy Room Academy will probably always be with us. Well, not exactly. They’ll eventually become the Happy House Academy. But there wasn’t an option for me to inform him of the change. 😛

Rolf: It seems like the Happy Room Academy has always been with us, grrrolf. Probably always will, too.

Last week, I mentioned that Scoot now lives in both of my City Folk towns (Forest and Mushroom). But now, he’s not the only villager to hold that distinction. Mario and I were quite unhappy to find out that Tabby has moved into Mushroom now too! So I have to deal with her in both towns! Ugh!
