No Dung For You!

I didn’t realize it until I started the game up and saw Chip at town hall, but the fishing tournament was held today. Of course, it was already over by the time I played. But Chip informed me that Opal was the winner, with a 43.4 inch sea bass.

Chip: Opal from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!

Al asked me to catch a bug for him, and I thought about helping him out. That is, until he told me which bug he was looking for…a dung beetle! Those things aren’t even in season until snow covers the ground (in a few days), so I turned down his request.

Al: This is where you come in, old pal. Think you can catch a dung beetle for me? Oh, please?
NO DUNG FOR YOU!

I found a new house in the same spot that Drift just moved out of, and Sterling the eagle was inside! I don’t recall having him in any of my towns before, so that’s kind of nice. And he seems pretty cool so far.

Sterling: WHOA! You must be one of my new Forest neighbors!

Since it’s Saturday night, I headed down to the Roost for some live music. K.K. Slider performed K.K. Love Song for me. That’s one of my favorites, and I believe it’s also the first K.K. song I’ve ever heard, way back in the original GameCube game.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Love Song.

I recently discovered that another of Forest’s current residents has moved into Mushroom as well. Check it out in the latest episode of Mario Plays ACCF. This will be the last new episode before Christmas, but I plan to have a variety of videos posted during that final week of 2018.

December Mail & Meds

I got Drift’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. Good luck in your new town, Drift! Even if you’re not actually going to another town. 😛

'Sup, Jeff, Today's my last day in Forest. Best thing I did here was be buds with you. I might be sweating in a different gym, but I'll always be lifting for you! -Drift

December is here now, and I also got my monthly statement from the Bank of Nintendo. I earned 99,999 bells in interest on my account (that’s the maximum you can get).

Dizzy was feeling sick and… well, dizzy. So I bought some medicine for him. He flipped as he took his medicine, which seems like it would just make him dizzier.

Dizzy takes his medicine in ACCF.

K.K. Slider was playing at the Roost, as he always does on Saturday nights, so I attended the show. I asked him to play a random song, and he performed K.K. Chorale for me.

After the show, I bought myself a cup of coffee. And yet I’m still feeling tired… 😛

I’ve posted two ACCF videos since last week. In case you missed them, here they are. First up is a slideshow of my best pictures taken in my 10th year with the game.

And I’ve also posted another episode of my Mario Plays ACCF series.

I’ll have another new episode of Mario Plays ACCF next Friday, but then the series will be taking a break for a few weeks. I’ll be busy with the holidays coming up, but I’ll also be working on some other videos for later this month.

See you next time!

Drifting Away

When I went to visit Drift tonight, I found that he had all his belongings packed up in boxes. Unfortunately, he’s moving out of town. It’s sad to see him drift away like this.

Drift: Whoa! Boy J?! I was trying to move out in secret, but you must've heard my muscles flexing.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed “Only Me” for me. That’s the same song he played for me in New Leaf last week. Is the universe trying to tell me something? 😛

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: Only Me.

As I walked past Bob’s grave (and more recently, the site of Kabuki’s house), I saw that almost all of the purple flowers were gone! I planted them for my 10th anniversary town tour, but I neglected to put them back into storage after I was done. Oops.

Bob's empty grave site, now nearly devoid of flowers.

I grabbed the two non-wilted roses and put them back in Scott’s storage (from whence they came).

In case you’re wondering, I haven’t forgotten about my annual slideshow of City Folk pictures. I hope to post that within a few days, so stay tuned.

And speaking of videos, Mario has returned to Mushroom after taking a couple weeks off. Here is the latest episode of Mario Plays ACCF, which includes the harvest festival.
