Zero Phone Reception

I received Opal’s goodbye letter in the mail tonight. I’ll miss the green elephant; she was a gem. And she’s one of the more underrated villagers in the series, if you ask me.

To: Jeff, I've decided to move away from Forest. It's hard to say bye to good friends like you. So I won't. Because I'm SURE we'll meet again somewhere! -From: Opal

It was hard seeing the empty spot where her house was. She’s lived in town since November of 2016! I guess I can finally fix the path here, though.

The empty spot where Opal lived.

Having that space open is good for one thing though: Summer bugs. You may not be able to tell from that picture, but her house was almost right on the beach. So that will be one less obstacle as I make my summer night bug hunts. Speaking of which, June has arrived and many of those summer bugs are out now! I caught an oak silk moth and a rainbow stag tonight.

I caught a rainbow stag! Someone tell me, already! Where's the rainbow?!

The rain was keeping some of the other bugs away tonight, but the season is just starting. Anyway, I caught Kitty snooping around my house. She wanted to buy my oak silk moth for 1,171 bells, and I agreed to sell it.

Kitty: I was about to go looking for an oak silk moth to buy! And here you walk up with one!

Down in the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider to play a random song and he played K.K. Rockabilly for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Rockabilly.

When I ran into Kitty again, she complained about the rain. She suggested that the sky was just dumping water on her because she’s so pretty! Ha! 🤣🤣🤣

Kitty: I'm fed up with this rain! It's like the sky is dumping water on me because I'm so pretty, kitty cat!

Then I ran into Roald, and he complained about us not talking lately. I actually forgot he still lived here! Or maybe it was just wishful thinking. But he said I need to write him a letter because his phone reception is so bad. 😛

Roald: Look, I get like zero phone reception in this yokel town, so I never know if someone's been calling me!

Yesterday, I posted the latest episode of Mario Plays ACCF. Mario says goodbye to one of his (my) favorite villagers, makes some new spring catches, and runs some errands for his neighbors.

See you next time! Have a great day. 🙂

Ol’ Pal Out

Sterling asked me for a new greeting tonight, and I told him to say “Steel my heart.”

Sterling: Steel my heart!

Right after that, Limberg walked by. The two of them had a conversation, and I listened in. Basically, Sterling said that Limberg talks like he’s an old, cranky grandpa. 🤣🤣🤣

Limberg, to Sterling: Man, if you'd known me when I was younger... I was a bad kid. Reckless, you know, my stubble.
Your stubble was reckless?

That wasn’t the only discussion about age, though. When I spoke with Static, he asked if his taste in clothes was appropriate for his age. I said “Too young, junior!” and he responded that the salesman said it was perfect for his bridge and shuffleboard club. 😛

Static: But the salesclerk said it was perfect for my bridge and shuffleboard club! Zap it!

I visited Puck, and he was happy to see me. I couldn’t say the same, but only because I couldn’t actually see him.

Puck, standing out of sight behind some furniture: Welcome, Jeff. It's good to see you!

Midge told me that Static suggested that she should get a pet flea. Static is such a prankster, and these animals Midge always falls for it!

Midge: I was talking to Static, and we decided it was a great idea for me to get a pet flea!

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed Two Days Ago for me.

Just before wrapping up my night in Forest, I got some bad news: Opal is moving out of town! I’m really sad to see her go; she had become one of my favorite villagers.

Opal: Oh, did I surprise you, Sizzly J?
Yes. I don’t like surprises. 🙁

I posted a new video today showing what 19 Nintendo games would look like in neon. Animal Crossing: City Folk is the first video shown, but you can also see the Animal Crossing track in Mario Kart 8 a bit further into the video. Please check it out!

Chasing His Tail

A black bass fishing tournament was held today, and Chip informed me that Limberg was the winner. I don’t know how that rat ever caught the best fish; I don’t believe it.

Chip: Limberg from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!

As I stood there after talking to Chip, I noticed something unusual. Bones was nearby, walking in circles. Over and over and over again! Was he chasing his tail?

Bones walks in circles in ACCF.

He didn’t stop until I went into a villager’s house and came back out. I wonder if Chip’s tent messed up Bones’ walking routine somehow.

I went down to the Roost to catch the Saturday night musical performance from K.K. Slider. He played K.K. Safari for me.

K.K. Slider performs at the Roost.

Midge was sick with a cold, so I bought some medicine for her.

Midge flips upside-down as she takes her medicine in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Static asked me for a fossil, and I was nice enough to give him a parasaur skull I dug up in town. In return, he gave me a spa chair. I’m not sure if he’s going to display the skull in his house or not, but his current furniture layout is…let’s say questionable.

Static's house in ACCF.

The center of the room has a screaming gyroid, a Spanish shirt, and a phone box that appears to be on fire. Exactly what type of look is he going for? And will a parasaur skull make things any clearer? I don’t see how it could.
