Museum Stamp Rally

In honor of today being International Museum Day, Blathers is holding a “Stamp Rally” in the museum. The bug, fish, and fossil galleries each have three stamp stations set up. By getting a card stamped at each station, you can get a prize for each of the three galleries.

It gives people a nice reason to browse through the museum. If you haven’t visited your museum lately, you may be surprised to see all of your donations flying, crawling, or swimming around.

The stamp station in the “extinction spot” in the fossil exhibit points out a detail that you may not have noticed before.

What's that big orb near the ceiling? I'm sure it's fine...
Goodness, gracious!

It only took a me few minutes to collect all of the stamps. I like the fact that there’s an event in the museum, even if it is simple. Considering how much time and effort Nintendo spent making the museum so beautiful, it makes sense to give us ample reasons to visit and enjoy it! The stamp rally lasts through May 31st, so don’t worry if you didn’t get to it today.

The prizes are a fossil plaque, bug plaque, and fish plaque. I hung mine up on the back wall of my back room.

At Able Sisters, I bought a baseball shirt. It is baseball season, after all… Well, at least it’s baseball season season. 😛 Kicks was in town, so I also bought some cleats from him.

Over by town hall, Apple had some surprising news for me: She said she lost her voice trying to be a heavy metal singer!

Apple: Hi. I lost my voice. I was trying to be a heavy-metal singer. Instead of a pop star... I am SO not metal.

Hornsby later pinged me and taught me the sorrow (crying) reaction. This can be a funny reaction to have when playing online.

I learned the sorrow reaction! I weep for tomorrow!

I found Agent S sitting on the swinging bench near Hornsby’s house and the sumo ring. She told me that she’s never worn shoes before in her life!

Agent S: I've never worn shoes in my life. But if I did, I'd want fabulous fast foot fashion for sure, up a tree.

I’ve been working on my Sudden Valley area a bit more: I carved out a separate area to the right, and I put the banana stand and magic stand in here. I included a sign that says “Free Chicken,” which is a reference to an illusion in Arrested Development. 🆓🐔

But I also made an even bigger change nearby. I decided to bring back the pillars that we used for jumping a couple weeks ago…and not just as a one-time thing. I plan on keeping it as part of my town. It’s not exactly the same as before, though…because I also put in a waterfall and a new mini-river that will flow down, near my sumo ring down below. Oh, and did I forget to mention Godzilla? 😀

The jumping pillars are back!

We’ll have to get someone to activate Godzilla as we’re jumping past his flames.

Have a great day, and I’ll see you next time! 🙂
