Moon Hamster

Today I received an “A tee” that I ordered from Nook Shopping. That’s one thing I don’t like about Able Sisters: They have outfits, shoes, and accessories, but they don’t seem to have just regular shirts like you’d find in older games. I don’t understand why, but you generally have to order these from Tom Nook.

Apple told me that she’s going to walk around the Forest shoreline until she’s walked the distance from Earth to the moon (235,000 miles)! She told me to call her Moon Hamster!

Apple: Just call me Moon Hamster!

There’s a problem with that, though. Even if Apple could walk as fast as a human, it would take 9.5 years to walk that distance. And hamsters only have a life span of about 3 years. 😛

One small step for a hamster,
one giant leap for hamsterkind.

I accidentally destroyed today’s money rock, because some fruit I ate yesterday was still in my system. I did leave the game in sleep mode overnight, but I thought the power meter would reset when the new day started and Isabelle read her latest announcements. But it didn’t.

Midge asked me for a new catchphrase, and I told her to say “or fly away.” Hopefully she will use it in some funny ways in the near future.

Midge: I knew you'd come through for me. I really like this new catchphrase! Thank you so much, or fly away!

I continued to work on my paths and town layout. One section needed a diagonal path, and this is the best I could do.

My diagonal path in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I decided where I’m going to put Shari’s house: In the river. Just kidding. But I’m going to put it next to Apple’s house, so that a new path can become a residential street. I may also move Louie’s house up here, so that I can later move my house over as well. That way, I could widen my garden again without everything being so crowded. But one step at a time.

You can see Shari’s current house in the background, and her new location to the right.

Here is a look at my current map:

A few other notes from today:

  • Shari had fleas, and I caught them to rescue the fleas.
  • I bought a pair of socks from Kicks.
  • Agent S taught me the “happiness” reaction.

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing! 🙂
