Purple Reign

To celebrate my latest house expansion, the Happy Home Academy sent me a long bathtub, and Claudia sent me a tankless toilet. With gifts like that, they seem to be suggesting that I turn my upstairs room into a bathroom.

As for the room itself, I was really surprised to see how big it is! This is way too big to use as a bathroom, but I don’t know what I’ll do with it just yet.

My large, empty bathroom.

Over by the river, Claudia was singing one of K.K.’s songs. I’m not sure which song it was, but it sounded very familiar.

A butterfly was flying nearby, and I caught it; it was a great purple emperor!

I caught a great purple emperor! Its purple reign is over now!
I spot a Prince reference.

The purple (emperor) butterfly was in the GameCube game, but it hadn’t returned to the main series until now. In fact, I put it on the thumbnail of my “12 Bugs & Fish That Didn’t Return” video from last year. And now my video is out of date. 😛

At town hall, Tom Nook reminded me that I owe him 1.2 million bells now. How nice. But he also informed me that I can now order replacement siding for my house! I can also move my mailbox as well. I didn’t make any changes yet, but it’s something to consider in the future.

In Able Sisters, I ran into Kapp’n! Okay, well not exactly. 😉 Just his head.

Mabel: A kappa cap?
I bought it.

Keaton was sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine I had in my pockets. Get well soon, birdman!

Keaton takes his medicine.
Swoosh!

Today’s glowing spot appeared in the sand in Sudden Valley. I didn’t realize glowing spots could appear on paths, but apparently they can!

In Nook’s Cranny, Apple had some interesting dialogue. In fact, I’m pretty sure this is a mistake. She said “I always want to buy stuff I always I don’t need.”

Apple: Whenever I come here, I always want to buy stuff I always I don't need.

At first glance, I only noticed the extra “always,” but when I looked at it closer, I realized there’s an extra “I” as well.

C.J. was in town, and his challenge was simple: Catch five fish in a row. Any five fish, as long as none of them got away. Easy as pie. Fish pie.

C.J.: ...No way! You ALREADY caught 5 fish in a row?

Just to let you know, I do plan on hosting Friday Night Forest again this Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern time (7 p.m. Pacific time). Anyone on my friend roster is welcome.

Have a great day, and I’ll see you all next time!
