Eloise Exits

Sunday (March 20th) was Hornsby’s birthday, and I made sure to attend his party. I gave him a ceiling fan for his present, and he said he loved it.

Hornsby: Thanks for today, schnozzle! I wanna be friends forever, buddy!

Bones was also there, and he looked so cute all dressed up!

Bones: It's Hornsby's birthday today! Let's make his birthday as unforgettable as my sixth birthday!

Bones was telling me a story about his 6th birthday party, when a clown went into his house and never came back out! 😮 He said his mom still hears honking noises in the walls.

Bones: That's when the birthday clown went in our house...and never came out!

This isn’t Halloween, save the scary stories for October, bud. 😛

Yesterday, Eloise told me she was considering moving out of town. I thought about it, and I decided to let her go. She has been here for 11 months, which I feel is probably long enough.

Eloise: Thank you for all of your support during my time here. I leave with a heavy heart, trust me.
You’re an elephant. I bet all of your parts are heavy.

Wisp was in town, and he gave me some potted starter plants. I also helped out Gullivarrr. Today, Gullivarrr sent me some pirate pants in the mail.

I went over to Eloise’s house this afternoon to say goodbye to the yellow elephant. Best of luck to you, Eloise!

Eloise: I'm excited, of course, but still a bit reluctant to leave my comfortable life here on the island...

Saharah was in town, and I bought a mysterious wallpaper and flooring from her. They turned out to be a mossy-garden wall and berry-chocolates flooring.

Later, I went out to Lottie’s Island to work a shift at Paradise Planning. Queenie wanted a vacation home that contrasted black and white. I picked out a rocky island, because I thought the grayness of the rocks would fit well with the colorless theme. Using patterns, I put in a black-and-white path lined with black and white roses. A added a black car, a white car, some mama pandas, a black gravestone, and a white gravestone.

The black and white theme, along with Queenie’s houses in previous games, made me think of the chess furniture, like the black knight or white pawn. However, those individual chess pieces aren’t in New Horizons. ♟

Indoors, I did something different. I decided to use a white wallpaper and flooring (the monochromatic-tile wall and white-paint flooring), and mostly black furniture. That included the cool sofa, cool bed, cool side table, an upright piano, a chessboard, and a couple of diner counter chairs. I also used a partition wall to segment off two rooms.

Back at the office, Lottie paid me 12,000 Poki for the job. Lottie then told me that I can now use the internet to visit vacation homes or facilities that other people have created. I’m actually surprised it took this long to unlock this!

I recently posted a new video looking back the 2nd year of New Horizons, in pictures. Check it out if you’d like.

See you next time!

  1. I’m just looking forward for your replacement. Knowing you you’ll either get an amazing video or one you hate. Also if you ever found Roald in the campsite or on an island, would you take him

  2. Fun fact: Eloise was actually supposed to be your first client in Happy Home Paradise. That’s why Olivia was your first one. I’m also pretty sad to see her go. I wonder who her replacement will be. Also she was the first one to get the boot in year 3.
