Surpassing New Leaf?

I went into Able Sisters on Monday, and I was seemingly greeted by what looked like the ugliest Able Sister yet! But it was actually just Diva, who was shopping as a tourist. I just wish she wouldn’t get up in my face and stare at me like this. It’s kinda creepy. 😨

Diva walks over and stares in my face as Mabel welcomes me to Able Sisters.

On Tuesday, I got my shovel out to dig up a fossil, but a tourist walked right over to the dig spot and just stood there! As if she was purposely keeping me from digging it up! 😆 Move it, Big Bertha!

Bertha stands right on top of a dig spot.

Yesterday, Miranda the duck was camping over at the campsite. I’ve never been a big fan of her, dating back to my ACCF days. Some of you may remember she used to walk over and interrupt my online sumo matches back in the day. 😆

Miranda, at the campsite: I wasn't sure what I thought at first, but I tell you...I've really grown to like this place, quackulous.
SUMO IS FOR HUMANS

C.J. was in town today, and I completed his seasports challenge by catching three “small fry” fish in a row. I then sold him 29 fish (mostly sharks) for a total of 457,500 bells. When I put my day’s earnings into savings, my balance reached 139,230,000 bells.

Savings Balance: 139,230,000 bells.

And that’s certainly not a nice, round number, so you’re probably wondering why I’m even mentioning that. But there is a reason: My New Horizons savings balance has now just (barely) surpassed my New Leaf savings, for the first time! So this is my new highest total for any game in the series.

Some of you may remember the line graph video I posted of my bell balances in each Animal Crossing game two years ago. I suppose I’ll have to update it soon! Although I may wait until the difference between ACNH and ACNL is a bit larger so it doesn’t look like they end with a virtual tie at that scale. 😛

Anyway, here are a few other quick notes about this week:

  • On Sunday, I played a treasure hunt game with Bones. It took me just 30 seconds to find the treasure, which was a vertical-stripes shirt.
  • Peanut was sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine. She thanked me with a nail-art set.
  • I helped out Gullivarrr on Wednesday, and he sent me a pirate dress.
  • Last night, I recovered Wisp’s ghostly spirits and he rewarded me with a clothes closet. Now my clothes have a place to rest…in peace.
  • Today, Agent S was the latest sick villager. I handed her a dose of medicine, and she gave me a rose-print jacket. So I got a rose-print jacket, a pirate dress, and a nail set? What the heck? 😆

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing!

  1. Hey it’s me again. How have you been? I’m gonna be honest: I STILL don’t feel interested in playing ACNH even though it’s been a while now. I thought I WOULD get motivation and nostalgia when the 3.0 update came out but I just… didn’t. Like at that point I just didn’t care. I don’t wanna sound ungrateful or anything because I love Nintendo and their games and what they do. But I felt the 3.0 update was really unnecessary because people critized the game for certain things (ex: bulk crafting) and while I’m glad Nintendo FINALLY listened and added them to the game, it was already kinda to late since this game came out 6 YEARS AGO!!! (I had this game since 2021 on Oct 16 at the age of 10) and people kinda already got used to it so…. not to mention I really disliked how they still didn’t give us the chance to decorate certain shops and move resident services. That’s all I got for now. But hope you’re having the best time of your life. Never Stop Crossing! 🙂

    1. Hi again, Sophia! I pretty much agree with you about Version 3.0. It felt like too little, too late. I really just wish they’d get to work on a new AC game already. 😆 But thanks for stopping in from time to time, even if you’re not playing the game lately!
