On Monday, my old friend Robin was camping at the campsite. (I’ve recently had her in my City Folk and Wild World towns.) I did not invite her into this town, though.
The final Bug-Off of the year was held today, and I participated in one round. I caught nine bugs, scoring 11 points in the process.
My score would’ve (and should’ve) been higher, but I saw a banded dragonfly and wasted too much time chasing it down. It disappeared before I could catch it. (They’re too hard to resist, though.) But anyway, Flick paid me 3,075 bells for my nine bugs, and then I redeemed ten points for a bug cage.
I do enjoy the villagers’ Bug-Off dialogue, though.
But they do look a bit silly in those hats. Well, especially when they wear the hat over a helmet.
Later on, I noticed a former villager in town as a tourist. But it was someone who left very early on in Forest’s history, Lopez. He’s been gone so long that I almost forgot I had him. 😛 But it was nice to see him again regardless.
Here are a few other quick notes about this week:
- Last Sunday night, I recovered Wisp’s spirits for him. He rewarded me with some tatami flooring.
- I helped out Gulliver on Monday, and he sent me a samurai wig in the mail.
- Due to today’s Bug-Off, K.K. Slider was not in town tonight.
