10th UFO

On Monday (November 1st), I shot down Gulliver’s UFO for the tenth time!

Gulliver: I seem to remember a comet hurling toward me at disquieting speeds.
Yeah, that’s it! A comet knocked you out of the sky. It totally wasn’t me!

I gathered up the five missing pieces of his ship, and he rewarded me with a Metroid. Even though that’s a good reward, I already had one of those. So this was my first duplicate from him.

On Tuesday, Samson told me that since bugs are sensitive to sound, I should creep up on the bugs with my net held up.

Samson: Bugs are sensitive to sound, so if you're stalking one, hold the net up and...

There’s just one problem with this bit of dialogue: You can’t creep with your net in Wild World! That feature was in the GameCube game, and it later returned in New Leaf and New Horizons.

I’ve started to play on Tuesdays again, since I recently realized that I need two of Redd’s space themed items. But he had one of them this week, the space shuttle.

Redd: Ah! I see you've noticed the space shuttle! That's a very nice item!

I bought it and added it to my space room. Now I just need the rocket from Redd and the lunar surface from Saharah.

My space room continues to fill up.

I normally put my bells into my savings account once my pockets reach around 100,000. Since I had 96k+ on me, I went into town hall to check my balance: 2,212,550 bells. So I figured depositing 88k would get me to 2.3 million. But since I’m lazy sometimes, I just hit the 8 button repeatedly, depositing 88,888 bells. But I was a bit surprised when I saw the amount remaining in my pockets was 7,777 bells.

7,777 bells in my pockets as I hand Phyllis a bag of cash.

I just thought that was pretty cool, as insignificant as it is. 😛

Today (Saturday) is flea market day, where everyone sells their old junk. When I ran into Cyrano, he was complaining because I wasn’t at home. Apparently he wants to see my junk.

Cyrano: But if you're not at home, then I can't see YOUR old junk...ah-CHOO!
My junk is nothing to sneeze at.

It was K.K. Slider night at the Roost, and he performed K.K. March for me. It actually wasn’t that bad. Since I had a country guitar with me, he again asked to trade it for his pic. I agreed, and that confirms that you can get his photo more than once. I’m not sure why you would need it more than once, unless you accidentally sold it and wanted a replacement, but it’s good to know the option is there.
