Samson’s Pic, KC’s Goodbye

On Friday, Tom Nook was talking about his friendship with Sable. She helped him to stop feeling bad about his unpleasant time in the city years ago.

Tom Nook: Sable is always the voice of reason, there to snap me back into reality...

Moments later, Samson surprised me by giving me his picture!

Samson: I'm not gonna get misty about it...but I AM gonna give you my photo!

I displayed the photo in my house, and Samson’s quote is “This isn’t a dress I’m wearing! It’s a muscle tee!” I can’t imagine a muscle tee being mistaken for a dress though, so I’m a bit confused by that quote.

Quote on Samson's pic: This isn't a dress I'm wearing! It's a muscle tee!

I spoke with Kid Cat outside, and he told me to come talk to him if I ever have any problems. After all, he said, “we’re photo-pals.”

Kid Cat: After all, we're photo-pals!

But I received some bad news from Kid Cat this morning: He moved out of town! Without warning. How am I supposed to go to him with my problems if he’s not around? I’m sorry to see him go. 🙁

Yo, yo, yo, Jeff! I'm moving! Man, we had a great time chillin' in Forest! I'll think of you when I pump mad iron! Later, yo! -Kid Cat

I also received my latest house score (206,151), and I bought another red turnip from Joan.

Later on, the fishing tournament was underway. With Tortimer in town, I was able to give him a massage chair for a scallop…and then I did it again. It’s good to know you’re not limited to one exchange per day. And if you order multiple massage chairs, you could easily stock up on scallops for Pascal.

Olivia told me she was was definitely going to win the tourney, so she told me to “back the HECK up.”

Olivia: I'm gonna win this time, so you better just back the HECK up, woof!

In contrast to Olivia’s bravado, Goldie’s talk of her fishing strategy was almost comical. She said she sticks her face in the river to become one with the fish. 😛

Goldie: I stick my face in the river and become one with the fish...

Bunnie has been sick with a cold, so I gave her some medicine Friday, and then again today.

After making my rounds, I started fishing. My first several attempts didn’t go very well, but then I caught a 43.3-inch sea bass that took the lead. Tortimer gave me a tulip table as my prize.

But I didn’t stop there. I continued fishing, and I eventually topped my high score with a 45.8-incher, and then a 46.2-incher. Tortimer rewarded me with a fan and a trash bin.

Tortimer: Now, gaze upon this lovely trash bin and break that record again!

At 6:00, the tournament ended. There is no immediate confirmation of the winner, but I was still in the lead as of 5:59, so I’m pretty sure I have it wrapped up. Even though I’ve participated in a couple of fishing tourneys before, this will be my first win.
