Late last night, I did some fishing and diving. I caught my first scallop, and as soon as I did, Pascal popped up behind me!
Naturally, he wanted to take my scallop. But no! This is my first one! It’s going to the museum. I’ll give you the next one, my creepy aquatic stalker.
And today, I paid off my house expansion at the post office.
Over at Re-Tail, Reese was paying 311 bells for turnips!
So I sold my 100 turnips for 31,100 bells. That’s a profit of 21,000 bells! I tripled my investment. Not bad.
While I was in there, I also had Reese look at my famous painting I got in the mail from Crazy Redd today. Unfortunately, it was a fake after all.
And before darkness fell, I made a rare daytime trip to the island. I caught my first whale shark!
I also caught a number of daytime bugs I hadn’t caught yet. That included a grasshopper, migratory locust, and a monarch butterfly.
And later on, I got the Best Buy exclusive DLC, the raccoon wall clock!
You can get this raccoon wall clock DLC at your local Best Buy. Keep in mind that this promotion is for North America only, so it unfortunately won’t work for those of you in Europe, Australia, or elsewhere. But this is what it looks like:
If you’re wondering if the raccoon wall clock can be ordered from the catalog like regular DLC can, the answer is YES! It will cost 1,600 bells. Not bad.
After that, I went into Nook Homes to have a chat with Mr. Tom Nook himself. Since my house is paid up, I’m now able to choose the next expansion. I’m a bit tired of these tiny 4×4 rooms, so I chose to expand my second floor. Tom Nook will complete the work tomorrow, but I now owe him a whopping 498,000 bells.
And before I finished up for the day, I stopped in Club LOL to get a new emotion. This time, Shrunk taught me the “aggravation” emote.

Actually it was just a greeting I taught her. Another villager of mine, Big Top, was also nearby. When I talked to him, he told me he was going to move out on the 22nd of this month! Why would he want to leave? Is he still mad about the time capsule? Or maybe he’s planning on joining the circus?
But fortunately, I was able to talk him out of it.
I stopped in the cafe for some coffee, and I saw Phineas there! He wasn’t giving any badges away today though; he just likes the coffee.
I took a peach up to Shrunk at Club LOL, and he taught me the “fearful” emotion.
And in Super T&T, there was a wall fan for sale. It’s like the one Tabby has, where you have to jump to turn it on or off. I bought it for my house.
Back in town, I spotted Crazy Redd’s tent once again. The famous painting (Mona Lisa) looked legit, so I bought it.

I’ll have to take care of that later. For now, I continued on in Forest. I met Joan for the first time in New Leaf and I bought some turnips from her.
Next, I headed to the cafe for some coffee-to-go.
You can equip the cup of coffee and then drink from your cup by pressing the A button.
And today, I got my first Animal Crossing New Leaf StreetPass, so I finally have a house showing up in the Happy Homes Showcase! It belongs to Dan of Merrland.
I was able to go in his house, and I also had the ability to order the items that he had on display (excluding non-orderable items of course).
Later on tonight, my friend Wendy agreed to help me out by letting me ask her animals for signatures for my petition.
I got the six signatures that I needed!
So I returned to Benedict and handed over the petition.
He said the snack bar is now a step closer to becoming a reality! Awesome!
But then did something strange. He gave me a reward: a rococo chair. And no mention of adding the snack bar to the list of town projects. Was this all just a scam? I went to town hall and confirmed that there was no snack bar on the list. I’ll be mad if all this work was just for a regular piece of furniture reward. Hopefully I’ll hear more about this soon. If not, I’m going to cook this traitor for breakfast.
And last but not least, I took out my frustrations on Tabby.
See you tomorrow!
